The third addition to the revered Hawksmoor fold, Hawksmoor Guildhall enjoys a reputation for the best steaks in London. Alongside a buzzing speakeasy-style bar, the walk-in wine room stages refined tasting sessions.

Sourcing sublime cuts from multi-award winning butchers, The Ginger Pig, the Hawksmoor menu spans from hearty breakfast offerings, through to its renowned steaks and delicious accompaniments. Bursting with natural flavours, Hawksmoor favourites include delicate crab on toast, or a magnificent sharing cut of porterhouse, where guests can select their desired weight from the blackboard.

Hawksmoor London serves up signature creations for breakfast, with wholesome offerings including a spectacular sharing platter, or a delicious pancake stack. From the old school bar, nostalgic flavours are served in blends like Harry Craddock’s marmalade cocktail, or a creatively concocted house fizz. Offering its own bar and superb bespoke service, a chic private dining room is filled with glossy wood panelling and plush furnishings. A personal bartender prepares signature drinks mixes, and specially designed sharing menus offer a range of dishes and cuts of beef.

Highly praised by top industry critics, Giles Coren of The Times describes Hawksmoor restaurant as ‘flawless’. Nestled in the heart of the city, Moorgate Station is 7 minutes’ walk away.

Hosts and bar staff were friendly, we sat at the bar before sitting in the restaurant. Cocktails were good and reasonably priced. We have dined at Hawkesmoor many times and we were disappointed with the food on this visit, both starters were small - half a lobster had hardly any meat and all the shell was broken up. The bone marrow was two bones when previously had three, piles of onions on top but not that much marrow in the bones. Steak and fries were very good. Sticky toffee sundae was disappointing, the cake was if when the puddings are too dry to use as the main sticky toffee dessert they use for the sundae where it's covered in icexream and sauce. Service was irratic, it was quiet when we entered and it seemed staff were bored so they kept coming over asking how our food was, did we want anything else etc.

Good value but only difference in deal & walking off the street is the cocktail.

The steak was bigger than expected.

I had been looking forward to my first visit to Hawksmoor, but I probably won't be in a hurry to return. The restaurant itself is lovely and there is a good distance between tables. We had 2 courses, the bone marrow and onions to start was absolutely heavenly and I'm very happy I ordered it. It was then onto the steak, the focus of the restaurant. This was a let down for me, it tasted average and was overcooked and was not good value. Unfortunately I didn't have time to get it redone to what I had asked for as I had to be elsewhere after the meal. The spinach side was lovely. The staff were friendly but forgot the wine I had ordered and got the bill wrong at the end.

    Set menu is good value.
I had fish, I'm lazy so would gave preferred it to have the bones removed.

Amazing dinner! The staff were wonderful, food and drink excellent. The peanut butter shortbread for pudding was immense.
