I dine here at least once every couple of months for the past few years and the food never fails to impress me. On this occasion, I opted for the Christmas menu which came with a festive cocktail. What can I say? Another great meal and the ambiance adds to the occasion

Informal yet ultra-fashionable, Harvey Nichols Second Floor Brasserie showcases supreme modern European cuisine. This elevated spot offers views over the city, and a black lacquered bar offers a fashionable selection.

A diverse mix of flavours, the Harvey Nichols menu spans from eclectic ‘little plates’ and wholesome bento boxes, to classic main courses. An array of exciting flavours can be found in the likes of tandoori monkfish with sticky mango rice, or pea and mint cannelloni with smoked feta, whilst hearty classics include a succulent signature HN burger, or Atlantic-caught cod with chunky chips.

Innovative twists for dessert include a salted caramel pot au chocolat with hazelnut shortbread, and Vimto summer pudding with clotted cream. Chic and sultry seasonal cocktails are served at the Second Floor Bar, and delicious offerings for brunch include streaky bacon and maple syrup waffles, and classic eggs benedict.

Set in one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings, Harvey Nichols Brasserie is a 6-minute walk from Manchester Victoria Rail Station.

We love champagne afternoon tea at Harvey Nics, we like to go for special occasions / birthdays as it's something a little bit different. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the staff are often friendly, helpful & attentive. It's a great place to catch up with the Girls & some of the cocktails are the best (English Rose & Aperol Spritz!!) Favourites are the scones (because the jam is the best), the macaroons & last time we had a little passion fruit patisserie which was amazing & their own champagne is genuinely one of the nicest! We'll definitely be back. Thank you

Food was fine and nice atmosphere in restaurant. We had beetroot starter and fish and chips which were good. However my one observation is that there seems to be an overwhelming desire by the waiters to encourage you to drink up your wine and empty the bottle asap. Rather than being left to enjoy the wine at our own pace it felt like it was a rush to empty the bottle. So much so that when I put my hand over my glass to indicate I did not want a top up I was referred to as a "lightweight". Not good. It wasn't even as though we were hogging the table - we arrived on time at 1815 and our bill shows we paid and left at 1940. So there is a training need for staff to find that fine line between being efficient and rushing the diners. A nice meal was spoilt.

Had the winter special. Thoroughly enjoyed the starter and sweet but less happy with the choice of main course. Everything was beautifully served and quite happy with the portion sizes.
