Housed in the flagship London store, Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge – Fifth Floor Café serves modern European food in an informal, contemporary setting. Chicly decorated inside, the floral roof terrace looks out over the rooftops of exclusive Knightsbridge.

Prepared in an open kitchen, the Harvey Nichols café menu is full of fresh, Mediterranean flavours. Try linguini with classic tomato basil sauce, sweetcorn and spring onion spelt risotto, or treat yourself to an 8oz beef burger with a mustard horseradish relish. Trio of lamb with black quinoa and spinach jelly adds to the meatier options, whilst fish dishes include lemon sole with beurre noisette and steamed sea bass with seaweed, pak choi and teriyaki sauce.

The Fifth Floor café at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge also serves a classic afternoon tea, including sandwiches, freshly baked scones, homemade jam, and a selection of pastries and cakes. For a touch of indulgence, add a glass of Harvey Nichols champagne.

On the edge of Hyde Park, Harvey Nichols café in London is one minute from Knightsbridge Tube Station.

Upon arrival we were seated quickly.
We asked for our complimentary cocktail & were told we were only able to have one.. This, we erred aware of & would not ask for more but it was odd to be told so dominantly. When it arrived, we asked what the cocktail was & what ingredients it had in it. The staff member didn't speak English & apologiesed (as best he could) & asked for a colleague to help... My guest asked again about the ingredients to be told it contained pineapple juice as one of the said ingredients. She has an allergy & do we asked it the said juice could be substituted. Another language barrier led to my guest being served just pure cranberry juice...
The starter & main courses were very tasty, with the soup having a generous portion.
The staff at this point were attentive but again we were served by another waiter with no knowledge of the menu or HN etiquette as it was his first night too...
Wes sled for another jug of tap water, but this never arrived.
We all chose the cheesecake for desert but none of us finished it as it wasn't pleasant . A member of staff took the plates away without questioning our half full plates. Eventually the manager asked why we hadn't eaten it & I gave my personal opinion on said desert...
We then had to wait over 20mins to get the bill after my having to flag a waiter to ask despite our coats all on & obviously ready to go.
I understand the piece of this deal is very good & we had a lovely belt evening but I do think the staff let the side down & the restaurant was very cold leading us to want to leave earlier than we hoped

We liked the cocktail, but once ordered it took a little while to arrive.
    The pheasant cake was tasty.

You have one of the most understaffed restaurants. And the staff itself is not good but this is due to be poorly CB aged and overworked. You need five waiters at least not the mere three. And more cooks in the kitchen. I've been here many times but am considered this one my last because I don't want to put up with the minimal service anymore

Our second visit, both have been wonderful.
We had meze and a regular main course. The meze works well for a vegetarian.
The only negative, is that, on this occassion, my friend had to wait for her order, even though we had all ordered together. The restaurant was very busy at the time though.
This restaurant is first choice, when are having a little celebration in town.

Lovely food but service rather dismissive and inattentive.
