Warm welcome on first entering the establishment, we had made a booking so we're able to be seated immediately, and advised to help ourselves to the very inviting salad bar. Looking around we noticed the lovely open fire which made everywhere seem very homely. The Christmas tree and decorations were also visible.
Our waiter was a very pleasant young man who got our drinks very quickly and on return asked what we would like to eat. The meal was excellent, the steak cooked to perfection. The waiter appeared whilst we were eating to check that everything was OK.

We booked a table for 3 at 1.15pm on a Sunday and although we were early we were given a choice of tables and sat by the window.
There was a smell of urine in the corner where my wife sat and I ordered the fish and chips, my wife had scampi with a jacket potato and my daughter a veggie burger.
We all had a salad portion as the salad bar is a feature of this restaurant..
The service was reasonable my fish was a good size ,but my wife struggled to eat her scampi and we saved 2 pieces for the dog.
We didn't have a dessert as we were full and my wife didn't feel too good. Later she suffered a bad bout of sickness and has been in bed since.
I cannot confirm beyond doubt that it was what she ate , but the possibility is there.
