Blending traditional home-style dining with fun contemporary touches like the unlimited salad bar and activity packs for children, Harvester Talmead offers up a wonderfully inviting dining setting for the whole family.

From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.

All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Herne Bay. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.

A firm favourite with local families, and a short drive to the seafront, Harvester Talmead is 6 minutes' drive from Herne Bay Rail Station.

WW'e have eaten at talmead Harvester before and have found it pleasant but something has gotten better since our last visit. The menu has been revamped and is in, my opinion, very nice. The food was cooked to perfection and although the restaurant wqas busy it didn't feel cramped or feel like the staff couldn't cope with the busy schedule. All in all a lovely evening out.

Lovely salad bar. Appalling service. Booked for 5pm. Starter came out at 6.20pm. Medium steak was black. Fish was raw. Wrong drinks brought out. Ran out if time for dads birthday desserts, coffees etc as had children with us. Asked for their meals early but still nearly 1.5hrs after booking time.

The food was okay but the dining experience itself was ruined by loud music playing in the background which inevitably nobody listens too anyway but for some reason restaurants think they need to play. As my father is 90 and fairly hard of hearing we spent most of the meal in silence as he could not hear a word I was saying and I could not hear him. The music plus the noise of other customers and the kitchen was too much and you should consider dispensing with the music. There must be other older visitors who find this an issue. I am realising how much hearing loss is a hidden disability and how this is not considered by retailers. Take a leaf out of Wetherspoons book.

Service very slow and when the steak arrived it was well cooked but luke warm to the point where the parsley butter on top didn't melt.

Booking a table was easy staff very good but computer went wrong so had to be reasked what we had ordered. Complained about the cappuccino I ordered was like warm and tasteless and although they removed it from the bill and was told it was because the machine was broken and they had done filter coffee and hot milk. If I had been told I would of had a filter black coffee. Long wait for staff to take desert order lucky I was meeting a friend for a catch up

There was nobody at the reception bit when we got into restaurant for what seemed like ages. There were a few tables not cleared away. The restaurant was half empty, but a chap outside in the car park told us that we would have to wait an hour. We told him that we had booked so that was fine. The girl that served us was nice, but when we were ready to pay she was nowhere to be seen. We waited for a while, then got another girl's attention. She took our money. We usually leave a tip, but not this time.
