Meal was delicious. Something to suit everyone in my fussy family. Service by a lovely friendly lady. Toilets could probably be checked a bit more regularly.

A popular Stevenage pub right in the centre of town, Harvester Roaring Meg blends rustic design with contemporary comforts. Kids get their own special menus, there are international beers and wines for adults, with indulgent desserts to finish.

From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.

All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Stevenage. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.

With a great central location next to shopping and entertainment attractions, Harvester Roaring Meg is only a 3-minute walk from Stevenage Rail Station.

Disappointing. Fish and chips off -- on a Friday! Salmon meal change, now only available with a spicy sauce, and the kitchen said that it was not possible to supply it without the sauce on it. Tomatoes over-ripe, peas cold, chips badly over-cooked (some burnt and gammon far too salty.

Good service from waitress, very attentive...however the food was over priced, overcooked and minimal portions. Really poor food with 8 chips on the plate, was embarrassing. Had booked a table online to be seated in a tiny table with no lighting whereas customers who just walked through the door where give better seating options even though was not a booking.

Very poor service. Had to ask for our table to be cleared well over half an hour after we'd finished eating so we could order puddings.

To say it was appalling would be an understatement! We arrived at our time of booking a table to be shown to what can only be described as the dregs of a table,it was in the middle of the salad bar and the bar area there was so much human traffic going past, there should not be a table here at all, given a menu that when opened was covered in food, it was vile, we asked to be moved this took 15 minutes, the place was empty, when we where finally moved we gave our orders went to get a salad, the salad bar was covered in food and was not clean or tidy at all, in fact there was tables full of plates etc where they had not been cleared all over the restaurant , we received our meals, they had to both be sent back as not cooked to the way we asked when we ordered , when we finally received our meals back mine was not what I had originally ordered, we arrived at 18:20 and left at 20:15 not bad for a one course meal! We will defiantly NOT be returning to harvester again.

I like the design of the restaurant, the seats are a tad bit uncomfortable, but the food and service is very good, I am quite new to the Harvester and only tried 3 main dishes, i liked them all but to date my favorite is the Smoked Belly of Pork

Good food, surprisingly a number of mains and sweets not available. Service good, we will go back .

Combo every time. I must say though that I hate the apple cider thing and prefer to put the other lovely sauces on my meat such as barbecue sauce.
Our waiter, Richard was top class!
