Very disappointed service was poor food was not that hot or appetising. My husband went to the bar to get our first drinks as no waitress came for ages. The salad bar was not up to the usual choices no beetroot which was disappointing

    We won't be rushing back.

Friendly decor and welcoming restaurant. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

However, the main courses for our Christmas Eve family dinner were slow in coming. The food had obviously been sitting waiting. My steak and bernaise sauce was lukewarm and the chips weren't good. The fish was soggy and mushy peas had a skin over them as they'd been waiting so long. The restaurant wasn't full as we have experienced Christmas Eve here before when it was heaving with families. This may be indicative of the standards which have dropped since our last visit.

I was disappointed and won't be returning which is a shame.

Food was ok... service was quite slow and the restaurant was incredibly dirty, food all over the floor and the chairs.

I've been visiting the harvester since I was a child and always found them great value, but the last few visits have been disappointing food not up to the standard of old. If you have a voucher or choose a meal deal it is more reasonable but frankly just go back to to straight forward pricing were everyone gets a great meal for a great price!

Not great. Food was ok. Once our mains had been served, service was ridiculously slow and we opted not to stay for dessert. I had a discount voucher to use and it took 3 people and another 20 minutes for them to get the bill right.

Although I booked ahead and we were seated promptly, we were waiting a fair while for initial service. The restaurant was not particularly over busy, and there were empty tables dotted around. We placed our order, and were then were waiting around 15-20 minutes for our drinks. The salad bar was almost empty, the bowls were boiling hot (who wants to put cold salad in a hot bowl?). There was a member of the kitchen staff refulling one container, and when I asked if there would be more bread rolls/crouton comin soon, my response amounted to a grunt - not impressed.
My daughters food was fine, but I ordered a sirloin steak, cooked well done. When if eventually arrived, I couldn't eat the majority of it as it was both over cooked to the point of burnt, and full of gristle. To be fair to the lady that servied us, she deducted it from our tab, but I wouldn't have expected less really conidering that I couldn't eat it!
Just gettin to pay took an age, there was no service again to be had and I had to go the bar to enquire about paying. The staff at the bar, including the lady that served us, were polite and friendly, but over all it was one of the worst experiences I've had at this Harvester - I have dined here frequenly.
