From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.
All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Glamorgan. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.
Combining wholesome menus with a relaxed ambience, Harvester Rhydycar is just 4 minutes' drive from Merthyr Tydfil Rail Station.

Quality was good but the wait for our food was far too long.
The restaurant was very busy and noisy.

Lovely waitress. Excellent service. Nice food.
I just wish that they wouldn't serve the food on metal trays and dishes. It spoils the dining experience.

The waitrest was unhappy no smiles.my gammon was not cooked properly as it was my daughters 16th birthday, I didn't want to cause a fuss ??the steak was covered in a big red pepper which looked ugly.I don't like to complain as it's normally a great restaurant. Just this waitress was in the wrong job

Main courses (chicken, gammon, ribs) were good. Disappointing that there was no pasta offered in he salad bar and the restaurant was very noisy so that we needed to shout across the table to communicate.
However, excellent service from Wayne, and the meals are reasonably priced. Thank you, too for the complimentary drink for online booking.
