Overall very disappointed with our visit yesterday. Poor service despite the restaurant being quiet. Not all menu choices were available. Child's meal came out ten minutes after the adult mains. After being told it was still in the freezer. Not a happy child.
Long wait to order and get served.
Salad bar poorly stocked. No lettuce.

Service was terrible, after waiting an hour for food we were told the order hadn't gone through to the kitchen. When food arrived it was average and not worth the wait. Veggie jambalaya was greasy and corn fritters tasted of fish!

No draft beer on,as coolers were not working. Had to drink bottle beer at more price than a pint of beer. My partners steak was not cooked well done as asked

Shame that at an early Sunday lunch time, didn't have our first choice of main meal(steak) for 2 of our party and then didn't have first choice of dessert ( honeycomb explosion) for one of our party, nor any pats of butter but waiter did obtain a ramekin of butter from kitchen. Friendly staff and good hot food. Lovely setting and plenty of car parking. Super quick service, maybe a bit too quick for a Sunday lunch.

Overall the food was adequate. However one dish was rump steak, which was inedible. This was pointed out to staff whose response was excellent. Rump steak I would suggest is not a quality steak and perhaps given thought should not be part of the menu. Also the salad bar. Children were helping themselves and were seen picking up food with their hands and throwing it back. Not staffs fault, parents should be there, but what can I say!! Even so staff realised what was happening and changed the bar. Great move, but others had also helped themselves unaware of what had occurred.
