With a poplar patio area for al fresco drinking and dining, and an interior filled with rustic touches like exposed brick, wooden beams and crackling fireplaces, Harvester Langdon Hills is a wonderfully inviting rural pub. Kids get their own special menus, and there are numerous vegetarian options too.

From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.

All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Basildon. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.

Perfect for lazy summer dining outside, or snug winter meals inside, Harvester Langdon Hills is a 4-minute drive from Laindon Rail Station.

An excellent meal and service. Not rushed but also not long waits in between.

The restaurant wasn't very busy. The food was very dry. I had a mixed grill. Service was very slow. Waited at least 10 minutes to get more drinks to our table. Also you didn't have any Malibu. So my Mrs wasn't very happy. Food wasn't very hot. For a restaurant that was 75% empty the service was terrible. I won't be going back anytime soon.

Food was goof and did not have to wait long at all for the food. Although sweet corn on cob was soggy as if microwaved or over steamed. Staff polite. We sat outside so we had to order at the bar in the end could do with table numbers. Cutlery was dirty and limited had to wait for more to come through. Only grumble I had was of another family that were loud and using inappropriate language it was obvious the male adult had too much alcohol they then started throwing Ice around. Having children with us and other families too with young children I feel that the staff should of stepped in and asked them to leave if they did not lower the tone. This was not good for a restaurants reputation as staff did look over to them but did not intervene. We left earlier than we would have so we did not have any coffee or further soft drinks. It's a shame as I would feel reluctant to go again. I would recommend a children play area with climbing frame etc.

The staff were very attentive and very well informed; the service prompt .The food was well presented and better than we expected having previously had a bad experience at another Harvester in our locality!
I must comment on the men's loo as it really needed some attention! The soap dispenser was broken, the bin for waste towels was broken and could not be flipped open with the foot pedal, the hand dryer blew copious quantities of cold air only, and the water pressure in the right hand basin guaranteed wet trrousers!
