A great example of a traditional British pub with fun contemporary twists, Harvester Horse & Groom East Sussex is famed for its home-style recipes for the whole family. Everything is made fresh with the finest ingredients, there are indulgent desserts to finish, and free activity packs to keep the kids entertained.
From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.
All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in the East Sussex. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.
A versatile pub and restaurant with a relaxed ambience, Harvester Horse & Groom East Sussex is only 4 minutes' walk away from Polegate Rail Station.

This was the first time that we have eaten there for a long time, we stopped because we were not happy with the service or food. However we are pleased to say that we thought the food and service was excellent, much improved. We will certainly use it again.

Lovely food fast service apart from drinks which we had to go and ask for 20 min after ordering them

We have always loved going to the horse and groom. Never really had a bad meal there, even when they have been heaving at the seams. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere, from the bar area to the restaurant. Favourite dishes for our family are the chicken meals and fish and chips. The salad is always a firm favourite.

Service was attentive, helpful and excellent. All food was extremely good. Salad bar was disappointing probably due to time and volume of customers
