We had a great "slow cooked" meal, beautifully arranged on a tin plate. The restaurant is located next to the beach, so a great view is guaranteed.

I dined there last night with my son and his wife and my Grandchildren. The whole occasion was completely ruined by a child at a nearby table who screamed throughout the entire meal. I complained to the Manager. He explained that it was in a family restaurant. I replied that I was with my family and the whole evening was being ruined for all of us and for those nearby. The parents of the child thought that there child was funny and laughed at his behavior. I glared at them, but it had not effect. The restaurant was crowded, so it would not have been possible to move us a table of 6 elsewhere. I contemplated approaching the parents and asking them to take their child outside, but I knew from looking at them that this would provoke an abusive reply from them.
please tell me what your policy is on this?
My daughter worked as a waitress in a restaurant where small children were being disruptive and the Manager asked the Mothers to control them. The Mothers replied that they would never come there again. Which is wonderful as no restaurant needs those type of customers and neither do the fellow diners.
Your staff at the restaurant are all excellent, but clearly you do not have a policy in place to deal with this kind of situation.
Are you happy to lose good customers?

We had a Groupon deal for ribs or steak with salad buffet and a drink. The ribs were fine but we didn't like the sauce served with them! However meal was okay for the price we paid and we always like the salad buffet.

The restaurant was very busy but we were well looked after and the food was good.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the food I received, ordered starters of loaded potato wedges, and chicken wings, received a paltry looking mess of potato skins, and Four "Chicken Nuggets"( yes NUGGETS) that cost us £8:50. Our mains were a Gammon Steak which my wife said was very tough, and my "Mixed Grill" was burnt to a crisp the only difference between the Black pudding and the Sausage was the shape as the sausage was the same colour, the "Medium Steak" was well overcooked, as was the dry stringy Chicken, and I am yet to get a flat mushroom served with any of the mixed grills I have eaten, the one at Durly Inn being my third, and my last as I shall not cross the threshold of a Harvester Ever again. Over priced and poor quality "fast food" not a dining experience I would recommend.
