Set right on the beach, and with beautiful views out onto the water, Harvester Durley Inn is a family-friendly pub and restaurant in an unbeatable location. There is al fresco seating to take advantage of the views, while inside there is a cosy feel to enjoy the packed menu of home-style favourites.
From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.
All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Bournemouth. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.
Also serving up children's menus, Harvester Durley Inn offers something for everyone. Bournemouth Rail Station is only 7 minutes' drive away.

Fish and chips- the fish was overcooked and unpleasant with rock-hard batter. The staff were nice.

Very good. Easy booking online. Restaurant has been done up since last visit, clean tidy and very good portions, and well presented. Nothing seemed to much waiter was patient with our deciding kids.

Harvesters have the same menu pretty well everywhere, though the service and drink availability can vary. This one is notable for its great location, with an arc of tables overlooking Bournemouth Beach; in summer (or if you are very hardy, you can sit outside and they will serve food there too. (Actually, though it was just 3C outside, one brave couple were eating their lunch there as they had a couple of lively dogs.)
The salad bar is usually one of their better ones though - in the great 2017 lettuce crisis - they had no salad leaves at all - just two trays of picked cabbage! I like Harvester for its moderately imaginative vegetarian options - a giant couscous vegetable tagine with tortilla and guacamole may have been the start of a great new cuisine (Mex-Maroc?) or may just have been dreamt up in Harvester's marketing department, but was fair enough.
Service was very friendly; not too slow despite being a busy Sunday lunchtime. They also seem to stock the full range of soft drinks (including San Miguel 0.0) unlike several of the other branches I have been to in the past year.

Alway an easy place to go to and great kids meals.

Terrible, terrible meal. I will never return. The only bright spot was the service was excellent with a waitress that would do anything with a smile.
The plates were dirty, the sauce for the meat was off, the fries seemed they had been cooked the day before, the fish was battered in oil soaked batter so full of oil that it left a puddle on the plate. My wife had salmon and said it was delicious.

Worst harvester I have ever been to. Disorganised, rude staff, poor dirty disabled facilities. Waited 20 mins for drinks order to be taken and left after 1.5hrs with only half our party having received their food. Parking also a problem. Never returning again

Plenty of choice on menu and children's menu. Food nicely presented, tasty and sensibly priced. Service good, even when restaurant packed.
