Super service and a good breakfast
20 February 2017
from Buckshaw Viliage
Celebrated for its hearty home-style recipes and rustic British feel, Harvester Buckshaw is a wonderful blend of classic pub tradition with contemporary tweaks thrown in. The packed menus include options for children, and the bar is fully stocked with international beers and wines.
From its succulent grill selection to the celebrated unlimited salad bar, the Harvester menu is packed full of wholesome flavours for the whole family. Rotisserie chicken cooked in a secret blend of spices is available alongside tender smoked ribs marinated in signature BBQ sauce, while smaller tapas-style dishes are perfect for sharing, with options like spicy crackerjack prawns, and grilled chorizo with padron peppers. There are generous combo platters, juicy steaks, well-stacked burgers, and a great salad selection with premium additions.
All kinds of sweet treats are served on the dessert menu at this Harvester in Chorley. The sundae selection loads real dairy ice cream with toppings like warm chocolate fudge brownie, raspberries and honeycomb pieces, while classic British options like Bramley apple pie sit alongside international twists like key lime pie. From the bar, there are world beers, spirits, and speciality soft drinks for the kids.
Catering for all ages and appetites, and for prices that won't break the bank, Harvester Buckshaw is a 5-minute walk from Buckshaw Parkway Rail Station.

Firstly can u spell my name correct! Secondly the lady manager /or leader needs training in customer service and a smile goes along way . I had to return my food because the order was incorrect but no apology . Perhaps she does not enjoy the job . I would like your feedback on the above matters .

The Harvester itself is clean and welcoming. It would be nice to have a bit more choice on the menu. Food was hot and served fairly quickly although some of the portion sizes were a bit small. Prices are ok. We have been before for a meal and also breakfast which was great with lots of choice.

Had to wait 15 mins for dessert to be brought over after ordering. Other than that it was a great meal.

Server was friendly and helpful, but food was average. The pub was a little messy - obviously child friendly but tables weren't cleaned straight after people left - this may have been due to understaffing.
