We received a warm welcome, in newly refurbished surroundings. The service was quick and efficient and the food delicious and well presented. I chose the original combo which I had enjoyed on a previous visit and was not disappointed. The Harvester salad bar is a firm favourite.

Always enjoy the free salad bar, although I remember there being more choice. Nice main course and plenty of it.

Having booked a table for 3pm we didn't want to be late so turned up with 4 hungry children at 2.30 prepared to wait for our table and have a drink in the bar. Unfortunately for the team the people on our table over ran with there meal and by 3.30 one of our children had fell alseep and the other 3 we getting restless because they were so hungry. So rather than wait any longer we decided to eat in the bar we felt we had no choice. Our booked table was still not ready. The staff were great about the whole thing and looked after us well appoogised about the whole mess. Food was great except they had no baked potatoes.

My experience on the last 2 visits to this harvester have been unsatisfactory. I booked a table for the 16th October ordered beans in a dish for Grandaughter and peas came on the plate sent it back and beans were on plate which she doesn't like them by other food. I ordered jacket potato and came with chips when I did get my jacket potato it was hard, couldn't be bothered to send back again. Ordered sweets granddaughters came without flake so gave her mine glad to get bill and leave.
Went back again with 2 other people for birthday. No cod (on a Friday) no jacket potato which one of the people with me said that there was no jp day before. Took 20 mins to get glasses for drink no menus when we were seated so couldn't give waitress order when she came to us. Over cooked scampi and ribs, no coleslaw on one plate. Very few people dining in there if it hadn't been a school was closed I think the place would have empty. It was really cold in there. If we'd have known before there was items missing off menu we'd gave gone somewhere else. Think you need to look at the chef and ordering there.

Food very good, service poor as not enough staff on. Restaurant was very busy not enough staff to cope. Waited to be seated aprox ten minutes guy who then seated us was not suited to this role as appeared shy and quiet, waitress was good but rushed off her feet, waited at least fifteen minutes for drinks after she chased them up. The whole experience was let down because there was just not enough staff
