Great food! Sophie was very helpful and polite and the table we seated at had a sea view. Will definitely return.

Waitress was perfect. Gave full information on food and drinks. Gave different cooking methods if we didnt want fried fish. Lots of choice. Fish was lovely tasty and fresh not too much batter. We had haddock which had lovely flavour.Got peas ,chips, bread and butter and tartare sauce.Medium fish was big. Not noisy in there even though it got busy.

Fish was very nice. Chips were old and dryed up. Had killed 10 flys before dinner and lost count how many after it. Floor was slippery and staff were in no rush to clear or keep the place clean and tidy.

I booked online no problems. Food was brilliant. Tried a lot of fish and chips in the past this was by far the best. Staff polite and pleasant. Accurate order. Food portions was big. Fast service. Really enjoyed our time.

Efficient friendly waitress looked after us and couldn't have been more helpful. We sat at a lovely window seat overlooking the sea front. We ate with our three young grandchildren and she made sure they were well catered for too with crayons and paper to keep them occupied. The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait a while for our food but she kept us well informed as to when it would be ready. The food was very hot when it arrived and tasted as good as Harry Ramsdens always is

Booked 'Harry Ramsden's' because it is close to the Hippodrome, where I was taking my elderly (83 year old) mother and her friend to see the Christmas spectacular. Not the most salubrious 'Harry Ramsden's' I have been in but it was clean, access was good and we had a table in the window. Elderly people like small portions and value for money and I only wanted a light lunch so we went for the 'Over 60's classic fish tea'. At £7.99 this was great value: the cod in batter was small but tasty, the chips had excellent flavour and the bread and butter pudding that I had for dessert was very good (texture, taste and custard). The Yorkshire tea that came as part of the meal was good but came in a heavy teapot that leaked a great deal when you poured. The staff were very attentive and we all enjoyed the meal; which was promptly served, allowing us plenty of time to get settled in the Hippodrome before the show commenced.
