An escape from the lively hustle and bustle of Soho, Ham Yard Bar & Restaurant offers modern British cuisine. Enjoy classic flavours in a plush yet contemporary setting, adorned with an eclectic mix of colourful patterns and fabrics, and head up to the roof terrace for inventive house cocktails.
Beer-battered oysters and kohlrabi are highlights for starters, followed by pork belly with mustard lentils and salsa verde or tuna with chorizo for main. You might find vanilla crème brûlée with Armagnac poached prunes on the seasonally changing menu, for an autumnal twist on the popular dessert.
The bar at Ham Yard in Soho has its own menu, offering snacks, sliders and melts as well as a selection of ‘profitabombes’ for a sweet treat. Afternoon tea is exceptionally popular here, with sweet and savoury favourites served alongside a wide range of teas.
A unique setting, the Ham Yard in London even boasts its own bowling alley. Ham Yard is found a 3-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

Fabulous afternoon tea - gorgeous setting and the food was delicious. Staff were great which really made the difference. Will definitely return!

Five of us for afternoon tea.
Some challenging dietry requirements were well catered for.
We had an issue with afternoon tea coming with no drinks, after waiting about 10 minutes staff were excellent in rectifying the problem.
Overall despite a little hiccup the experience was great.

Enchanting location, beautiful service and furniture. Special treat for my niece who thoroughly enjoyed herself. Shame the bowling alley was closed.

It is the second time i am going there for afternoon tea. 1st time was an year ago and it was really nice.
However, this time the tea was an average tea...A bit of a disappointment compared to previous experience. I had high expectations because i found out they won a prestigious afternoon tea award for 2016. The selection of cakes and sandwiches was pretty standard and nothing special. It felt more as if they went to a patisserie, bought a lot of cakes and put them on a plate.
The service was good as usual.

Great atmosphere and service.
We booked for afternoon tea which was good, but not great. The Delaunay was far superior in terms of selection and quality and unlimited whereas the Ham Yard charges for extra sandwiches and cakes.

The ambience at Ham Yard where we had afternoon tea yesterday was lovely. The service was fairly good, however a few times when I asked for water the staff had to be reminded twice before topping it up. We enjoyed the food on the whole although we would have appreciated being told what each of the cakes were. The sandwiches were great, a range of interesting flavours and a good variety, the scones and hot cross buns were also delicious. For a hotel with a reputation for being so unique, I did think that the preserves could have been a bit more unusual! The cakes were the part of the tea which sadly we were most disappointed with. We loved the shortbread with crystallised ginger and rhubarb mousse but unfortunately there was only 1, and this wasn't too easy to share either. The chocolate brownie with crispy type brittle on the top was dry and fairly tasteless, as was the little lemon loaf, which was rather heavy and dull in flavour. Considering the Ham Yard's reputation for afternoon tea, we were somewhat disappointed by the sweet offering.

TERRIBLE! No idea what all the hype is about. Staff were surly and inattentive. I am a vegetarian and I was given chicken sandwiches (despite asking for Veggie) of which I ate half before I realised! Very unpleasant.
My friend wanted some ice with her water and had to ask four times before it was finally bought. My friend’s sandwiches were dry and stale, when we fed back to the waiter, we were told that they were freshly made that morning and had been in cling film all day (we arrived at 4:30pm) so they shouldn’t be. He would rather have a debate with us around this than apologise. It was really uncomfortable. Nothing is replenishable unless you pay extra. Tea choices are limited unless you pay extra. I have had much better afternoon tea and service in London. Venue is great but that is the only good thing I would say about it.
