An escape from the lively hustle and bustle of Soho, Ham Yard Bar & Restaurant offers modern British cuisine. Enjoy classic flavours in a plush yet contemporary setting, adorned with an eclectic mix of colourful patterns and fabrics, and head up to the roof terrace for inventive house cocktails.

Beer-battered oysters and kohlrabi are highlights for starters, followed by pork belly with mustard lentils and salsa verde or tuna with chorizo for main. You might find vanilla crème brûlée with Armagnac poached prunes on the seasonally changing menu, for an autumnal twist on the popular dessert.

The bar at Ham Yard in Soho has its own menu, offering snacks, sliders and melts as well as a selection of ‘profitabombes’ for a sweet treat. Afternoon tea is exceptionally popular here, with sweet and savoury favourites served alongside a wide range of teas.

A unique setting, the Ham Yard in London even boasts its own bowling alley. Ham Yard is found a 3-minute walk from Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

Everything was excellent. The only thing I can think of and that is down to me, I prefer the more traditional sandwiches but loved everything else. The staff were attentive and helpful, nothing was too much.

The afternoon tea was a little disappointing, sandwiches were dry, area we were seated in an area that was a thoroughfare to the toilets. Could be great but needs a little push!

Venue great, would have preferred to be in the bar/lounge area, than the actual dining room. Bar/lounge area was buzzing & fun, whilst dining room more formal. Overall service was fantastic, until the end, where our waiter disappeared and we had to ask a few times for the bill and to pay. The high tea was good in terms of great value (in terms of what you get for the price you've paid). The food is not at the level (i.e.more experimental/functional art & endless supply) of other high tea venues I've experienced, however at these venues, you pay 10-20 pounds more on average. Food was tasty, fresh and overall good. It's overall a good value for money high afternoon tea venue, that would recommend.

We went to Ham Yard Hotel for afternoon tea over the holidays and selected the Festive Tea option through the online reservation booking system. However, upon arrival, we were told the Festive Tea was no longer available and had ended the day before. While we were disappointed, the staff immediately contacted the website to remove the Festive Tea from the site and offered us the desserts from the Festive Tea in addition to the normal afternoon tea desserts. Additionally, at the end of tea they decided to make the entire tea free for us because they knew we were disappointed we didn't get get to have Festive Tea. While the overall experience wasn't what we were expecting, the staff was incredibly sincere and accomodating for us, and we were very happy with our experience in the end.
