The original Hakkasan restaurant, Hakkasan Hanway Place is a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant in Soho. Designed by Christian Liaigre, the glamorous dining room combines Chinese history, tradition and architecture.
Chinese cuisine from Executive Head Chef of the Hakkasan Group, Chef Tong Chee Hwee, is found on the Hakkasan menu. Strong Chinese and Cantonese influences are weaved through the authentic dishes, with innovative signature offerings including Peking duck with caviar and pancakes, or roasted silver cod with champagne and honey. The eclectic Taste of Hakkasan menu offers a journey through flavours, for between 2 and 7 people.
A 16-metre bar at Hakkasan restaurant in London showcases inventive Asian-inspired cocktails, which can be enjoyed at Ling Ling, the chic late lounge.
A weekly lunch event, ‘Dim Sum Sunday', is staged every Sunday from 12:00 until 17:00, and features sessions from Hakkasan’s resident DJ, Pathaan. Highlights include crispy duck salad, Chinese chive dumpling with prawn and crabmeat, crispy smoked duck and pumpkin puff, and grilled Chilean sea bass. The menu includes a cocktail from Hakkasan’s award-winning list to start, followed by a half bottle of Louis Roederer Champagne per person (a Magnum between 4 guests) and concludes with a digestive cocktail to enjoy with dessert.
With carved lattice screens and swathes of smooth dark English oak, Hakkasan Hanway Place in Soho offers a unique and intimate dining experience. Tottenham Court Road Tube Station is a 3-minute walk away.

Customer reviews for Hakkasan - Hanway Place

This was our second visit to Hakkasan, having been some years previously but having been left slightly disappointed, feeling the restaurant just didn't live up to the hype. But with the endless rave reviews and plaudits, we thought we'd give it another go, wondering if perhaps we'd just been unlucky. Sadly, while the food was beautifully presented, once again it was bland. Given we'd not had a great experience last time, we booked the £39 special offer - three courses and a cocktail. The squid in the salt & pepper squid was perfectly cooked; alas. the coating was soggy and tasted of nothing. No hint of salt or pepper. The dim sum were a sight to behold, but, again, failed to ignite our tastebuds. The mains were tiny. I think we had four slivers of minted lamb, which would have been lost on a saucer, never mind the plate they were actually served on, Again, we couldn't taste any mint. The sea bass, again, technically cooked to perfection, but again, devoid of flavour. And so it continued with the asparagus side. We chose the Jivara bomb and selection of macarons for dessert - the bomb was far too sweet, the macarons divine. Hands down, the best thing[s] about our meal were the cocktails and the macarons. Even giving Hakkasan the benefit of the doubt, I don't think there'll be a third visit for us.

The food was so good and the time between dishes was perfect. The service was great too, the staff were so accommodating to my vegan needs and really went out of their way to be hospitable.

A delicious meal with excellent, friendly service. The dumplings and the duck were particularly good. The offer menu is the way to dine here as the a la carte is very expensive.
