A warm and friendly welcome as usual. This was a pre theatre meal so we chose only a small eat each and a main (and a very smooth and drinkable bottle of red) as we were limited for time. My deep fried soft shell crab was superb and I very reluctantly allowed hubby a small mouthful. But he was happy with his scallops. Them my pipi duck, tender and pink with a crisp lacquered skin. Hubby had stir fried rib eye which I wasn't so keen on, although the little mushrooms in the sauce were delicious. Accompanied by stir fried morning glory which we had never had before. Very flavoursome but tricky to eat with chopsticks! Staff are attentive and friendly. Shame we had only an hour. We have had the dim sum Sunday lunch here with cocktails and that was more leisurely and delicious.

Our favourite place to go, always a special experience and staff are always on hand to help from the moment you are seated , and take through the menu, food was exceptional as always , it would be good if there were more options for dinners that are either allergic or do not like seafood. The Main (we had the ribeye steak ) was amazing , such simple ingredients, but taste phenomenal , even the plain rice tasted so good , from starter to desert it was exquisite . To the little touches that they remembered without prompting it was a special occasion , and desert was met with a little note on . This little small attentions to details are what make me come back time and time again :)

The restaurant is huge, thats the overriding first impression. It's also full and buzzing. Clientele as you would expect - wannabees and city slickers as well as those seeking a genuine eating experience. Service was professional, attentive and excellent, wine expensive with £27 being the cheapest bottle. Food, though (on the bookatable star deal of £35 per head) was mixed. Dim sum excellent, soft shell crab little taste; stir fry beef dry and uninteresting, roast pork ok, sweet and sour prawns and grilled sea bream with honey fantastic; puddings average.
Overall a good experience, but slightly underwhelming, though I would go again if I could eat a la carte.
