A traditional Davy’s wine bar close to Paddington Station, Gyngleboy in London serves a menu of British and European food. From breakfast to late dinner, Gyngleboy’s old pub décor and candlelit tables add to a cosy, relaxed feel, and its outdoor seating area is ideal to enjoy its fine own-label wines al fresco.

Cumberland sausage and mash, and homemade fish pie are among classic pub dishes at the Gyngleboy restaurant, plus there’s pork belly casserole and Scottish smoked salmon. The tempting puddings include treacle tart with clotted cream, and winter berry and amaretto trifle.

Gyngleboy’s drinks list has a broad choice of world wines, Davy’s signature real ale and the finest champagne. Gyngleboy in London is a 2-minute walk from Paddington Train Station.

There were 6 of us for an early pre-event supper, all arriving at different times. Our table was ready at 5.30pm as booked and we ordered in dribs and drabs from about 6.15 onwards as each person arrived. We had to be away by 7.30 and maybe the staggered ordering helped the kitchen, either way the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The food came quickly and was fine - we had 3 different sharing plates, bangers & mash, roast beef salad. It all went very well and I would go back.
