Blending contemporary and classic, Gustoso Ristorante & Enoteca brings sumptuous Italian flavours to upmarket Pimlico. The sleek, modern dining room is filled with rustic charcuterie displays, and a lengthy range is served at the bar.

Offering a selective yet expertly executed range of dishes, the Gustoso menu compiles Italian favourites with a modern twist. Enjoy dishes like deep-fried squid and courgette, and baked breast of chicken with diavola sauce. Fresh pasta dishes at Gustoso London include homemade ravioli, or linguine with a cleansing mix of garlic, chilli and juicy prawns.

For dessert, a perfected selection of no-nonsense recipes includes the Gustoso tiramisu, silky panna cotta with chocolate sauce, or artisanal Italian cheeses. The Gustoso Pimlico offers fine wines and rich coffees, as well as succulent cured meats and fresh Italian breads.

Sister restaurant of Al Duca and Osteria dell'Angolo , Gustoso restaurant maintains the crowd-pleasing simplicity of traditional Italian cooking. Victoria Tube Station is an 8-minute walk away.

    Quite a limited main menu but decent 'specials'. All of the food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive without ever being too pushy.

    It was fairly quiet, but location may be a key factor as it is tucked away down a side street.

    Very good food, excellent wine and top service from the owner.

    Decor and presentation similar to a franchise and lacked rustic appeal, however was very clean and chic. Staff very courteous and professional. Food average and although homemade was obviously reheated (my lasagna had a chewy tough texture at the end). Bit disappointed really as was a social occasion, but husband really enjoyed the risotto.

    We had a great pre-theatre lunch. The food was lovely simple Italian dishes, just as they should be but often difficult to find. So much better than any bog-standard chain restaurant.

    Value for money was ok considering the location - see below.

    There were only 2 downsides;

    No children's menu (I did advise I'd have 2 children with me when I booked). They were really accommodating, but it did work out pretty expensive as the kids had to eat of the adult menu.

    It was also very quiet so the atmosphere wasn't the greatest. But I bet during a busy service it is a lovely intimate buzzy place.

    Would definitely visit again should I ever be in the area.
