Was lovely. The food was great. New dessert menu is a big improvement. My steak was cooked to perfection. It is nice that the manager remembers us & takes the time for a little chat. One of my favourite places.

Booked for roast dinner, first told ran out but then manager came and informed because I had booked they had saved some roasts. Ordered ice cream for afters which was later told had ran out so manager paid for another choice of dessert- very attentive service and lovely food- they are obviously a victim of their own success

The menus are fine if a little limited. If you want you can have a starter as a main, my husband had the crispy duck pancakes as a main, there were 6 pancakes to make which were enough really. I think for a starter it is very big. The desserts are limited I would like a few more on the menu that are not tarts or just ice cream.
We asked for a window seat but did not get one, I was a little disappointed as a window seat was not taken all the time we were there ( just over 2 hours ). We do like it here & have never had a bad meal ( eaten at about once a month). The Steak is delicious, would like a salad garnish, but husband hates them so he's pleased.
Service is good & attentive but not overbearing. Will be back

Staff are very nice. Service was prompt. However, I ordered a dessert & never received it after 30 minutes I just paid the bill (without dessert). we went to the bar & the gaming tables for about an hour came back to the bar & the manager came up to us to apologise, again, about the dessert (lack of), However the food we did have was very nice & will go again

We went for a Sunday lunch, but were disappointed with cool plates and dinner albeit tasty, when asked by the manager if everything was ok with your meal, I told him of my dissatisfaction and he just walk away without saying sorry to hear that, or I'll pass on your comments on to the kitchen, so if he's not interested in a customers comments then don't bother asking, and he should go on a customer awareness and politeness course.
