The Grissini is an Italian trattoria which offers an ambience that is both very rare and exceptional in Germany.
High walls decorated with elaborate frescoes and an old dark parquet floor give the place a unique feel. The large dining room is dominated by two long rows of tables which are beautifully laid and decorated. The staff will always do their best to ensure that family celebrations and other occasions are a success. In the summer guests are welcome to use the beautiful garden which is full of flowers and plants. You can spend some very enjoyable hours here.
Baked crunchy 'grissini' (breadsticks) are a wonderful prelude to an Italian meal. They are beautifully made every day in the trattoria - also called the Grissini - which is situated in the Schwabing district of Munich, and the restaurant then serves them as delicious finger food.
Since 1994 Matthias Ludwig has been treating his guests to the very best traditional Italian cuisine has to offer. No pre-cooked noodles, no ready-made food. Meat and fish dishes are all homemade. 'Feinschmecker' magazine is well versed in the quality of the food at the Grissini, which is listed as one of Germany's best Italian restaurants. Haben bisher 2x abends hier gegessen. Der "Brotkorb" findet gr. Interesse, da die kl.Brötchen und natürlich die Grissinis besonders lecker sind. Fisch und Fleisch sowie die Pasta sind ebenso empfehlenswert.

Die ausgezeichnete Küche bietet eine bodenständige italienische Karte ohne viel unnötiges ChiChi. Der Service hingegen wirkt oft arrogant und überheblich. Mehr italienische Herzlichkeit wäre sicherlich nicht fehl am Platz.
