Located in the heart of Cardiff city centre, Grey serves locally sourced food and gins in a bright, chic setting. Magnificent views from the glass-fronted restaurant look out onto Cardiff Castle.

A superb stock of local ingredients is used to craft the rich flavours on Grey’s menu. Local specialties include Cefn Mawr Farm steaks cooked and served on Himalayan salt stones, plus 'Eccentric Gins': crafted locally and drawn from water underground, then matched with tonics and glamorous martini cocktails. Grey presents an on-trend retreat for sampling Welsh flavours.

Grey offers various social and dining experiences, with dining offered from morning through to late evening. Inside, feminine touches and contemporary tones make for a film-set-style ambience.

Both the New Theatre and the expansive greenery of Bute Park are 3 minutes’ walk away.

My friend and I booked the bottomless brunch. Service was good for seating and food. Food was nice. Felt that prossecco could have been more free flowing ( had much better experience in London). Had to ask for glass to be topped up several times and towards the end our glasses were empty for 10 minutes and when we asked for refill we were informed our time was up.

Great experience. Very busy when we went so there was a lot of noise. We didn't feel that the manager was all that friendly or helpful but Jennifer the waitress was great so thank you to her!
The food was very nice as was the prosecco. We will return

Tea for two with sandwiches and cakes. Had Earl Grey tea, other person had coffee, Both had apple juice instead of wine.Room where we should have eaten was full. Several customers were shown to a different room which was much quieter. This was our first visit.

Came for afternoon tea for my birthday with my sister and her 7 week old daughter and my close friend who is vegan. All made to feel very welcome, totally breastfeeding friendly, my sister felt very comfortable and the staff were wonderful. The head chef prepared a special separate spread that was vegan friendly and my friend was delighted - she actually ended up with more food and choices than us! Staff and service was superb. Very relaxed, no rush for us to leave and we had a lovely afternoon. I would definitely return.

Attended Grey's for a Prosecco afternoon tea for Mother's Day. We arrived and we're quickly seated. They took our order for sandwiches and drinks and stated they would bring over our prosecco.

The platter of sandwiches and cakes arrived and had to be sent back straight away as they served ham and salmon to a vegetarian who also doesn't eat fish.

The drinks arrived and there latte and hot chocolate arrived but were like warm and undrinkable. We didn't like to complain again so just left them there.

We are out cakes but the prosecco never arrived, upon asking for the bill we were asked was everything ok and when I replied we didn't receive the prosecco the manager went to speak to his staff. He returned and said we were asked if we wanted prosecco and apparently we all said no. I asked why would we book a special £21 a head Mother's Day prosecco afternoon tea and then refuse the prosecco?

The bill arrived with a 10% service charge, but I asked for this to be removed given the fact we had no prosecco, cold coffee and were served meat sandwiches to a vegetarian.
