    Nice way to spend time with a friend catching up over afternoon tea. Selection was lovely and ample food provided. Hot tea & coffee was brought over a couple of times. Service good. Only downside, was the Atrium was so bright, we had to wear sunglasses!

    Staff seemed disorganised and one staff member told us he'd sort out a table and then we never saw him again.
    We were told to take a table by another staff member who then also walked off leaving us unsure of where to sit.
    The sandwiches were dry and although we booked the cheaper meal we were charged the higher price. We could also only eat a couple of the sandwiches due to dietary requirements. The staff didn't seem to care about us. Really disappointed as we've had 5 star service there before, having gone a few times to the spa and for meals.
    We will not be returning after this.
    Really disappointed and upset.

    Average afternoon tea. No tea options/ menu, had to ask and waiter wasnt very knowledgable, sandwiches were ok- scones lovely, cakes very stale.

    The afternoon tea was pleasant enough. We spent a good two hours here. I was a bit disappointed with the selection of sandwiches and feel there should have been more choice. I also feel we didn't get a great deal of food for our money. For £15 I was expecting a bit more than a few sandwiches and desserts. A selection of other savoury products would of been ideal. When booking the afternoon tea it said we would be offered a selection of teas also but this did not happen on the day. I would have liked peppermint tea. I don't know if this was available but if it was it wasn't offered. When we eventually came to pay there was no members of staff in our dining area. We waited at the till for a few minutes but nobody came. It wasn't clear what we should do or how we should go about paying. Two members of staff walked passed us but seemed otherwise engaged so didn't stop to ask if we were ok. In the end I asked at reception where we had to pay and she directed me to the bar. We payed at the bar with no issues. When I returned home later that evening i discovered a voicemail message, whilst I had been in the cinema, from the grand harbour telling me that I had an unpaid bill for afternoon tea which I was quite taken aback by. I telephoned the hotel the next morning to assure them I had paid and I had a receipt to prove it. The lady on the phone didn't seem to know what to do and said she would get a manager to ring me. This still hasn't happened so I don't quite know what to make of this. I am sure this mix up has happened due to lack of communication between staff and the fact it wasn't made clear to us where we had to pay. I would have happily payed at the start to save all this embarassment and confusion. I do think the hotel need to look to improve this. An apology from the hotel would be appreciated also.....

    My steak was over cooked i requested rare but got medium-well done. Presentation was something to be desired. And the waiting staff didnt seem to know what they were really doing. There was no enthusiasm towards patrons. I had to walk to find someone to ask for my bill. I will not eat here again until improvements have been made. Infact the couple sat behind my partner and i complained on the night aswell about the same reasons im leaving this review. I really do hope for a hotel with the stars it has been given that this was a very large 1 off occasion.

    booking was no problem. We had afternnon tea, which was a disappointment. The sandwiches were bland and a little dry as were most of the cakes. Service was poor, one waitress asked if we had any allergies but then could not understand what we were saying so we gave up. we had to repeatedly ask for more drinks. the toilet facilities were not what I would expect for a 4* hotel. We would not bother to return.

    The food was really good & reasonably priced
    The bar tender (a woman) did not give the best first impression, there was only one other person at the bar but she managed to ignore us for a good 5 minutes, not even an acknowledgment (she wasn't serving, just chatting), the other downside was the ladies toilets in the dinning room, they stank of sewage, very off putting.

    I love the environment the way table and chair set and the location but I suggest you to provide more seafood mains and try to make a food choices balance. I do not mind to pay lots of money on the foods but I mind when the taste of the food is not worth as the prices. You can charge expensive price but the taste need to be delicious same as the price.
