I broughT my mum for her 84th birthday, the whole experience was lovely and our waitress was first class, very friendly and made my mother and her 90 year old sister feel very special. Thank you. Parkin was a nightmare but I know this was beyond your control x

I chose this venue as a special addition to a mother and daughter day of shopping for my daughter's birthday. Although the afternoon tea was delicious, the service was very poor. We had a table booked for 1:30 and our pot of tea came almost straight away, but we then waited 20 minutes for the food. I had to find someone to ask when our food would be brought and then was met with resistance when I asked for another pot of tea as the one we had was 20 minutes old. I was expecting a better experience so was disappointed.

Staff were fantastic couldn't do enough for us. Luckily we had a voucher as I'm not sure if We would pay full price for the meal as lovely as it was. We could get exactly the same meal for half the price at another establishment

Had a wonderful meal in the Marco Pierre White pop up restaurant.
Both my wife and myself started with the beetroot salad.
I had the steak and my wife had the salmon.
Our waitress, Elana, was attentive but not intrusive. A really great night.

I booked afternoon tea as a birthday treat for my husband. The price was excellent and we looked forward to it. When we walked in to the lobby, which was very impressive, we approached 2 male members of reception staff and (possibly, the concierge) who were chatting. As we walked towards them, they ALL walked away and carried on chatting round the corner out of our ear and eye shot. I consider this very rude & certainly not a good first impression. I am also a receptionist and work front of house and would never turn my back on visitors to my building or ignore them. However, after a very very short time a rather flustered (maybe just over officious) girl appeared out of an office and asked if she could help. I said we had a table booked for afternoon tea and she very helpfully pointed us towards the restaurant. On walking in we were met by 4 different members of staff, who all welcomed us and we were shown to our table. There was only us and one other couple and although we were sat in the window - overlooking the overflow car park but no matter, nice to be by a window - we felt slightly 'barricaded in' and almost segregated from the main restaurant. I am assuming it was to differentiate between 'afternoon tea clients' and 'restaurant clients' but we could only see people in bath robes (presumably from the spa) wandering through ordering drinks. It was quite strange BUT the table linen, the crockery and the standard of food was very very good indeed. Fresh sandwiches, what looked like home made cakes and certainly tasted so and warm scones with oodles of cream and nicely served tea and coffee. Excellent value. I was slightly disappointed to not be offered more tea and coffee but only slightly and as we didn't want any, it didn't matter too much. I would have asked if we had wanted more. The service was good, the food was good and the price was excellent. First impressions of the hotel however were not so good & in my view need attention.

afternoon tea for two people , it was a birthday treat for a friend , we had a lovely time chatting, although we were a little disappointed that we seemed to be tucked away from everybody to the point where we couldn't see anything going on in and around hotel or "people watch" a the southampton boat show was on- we were expecting to be able to watch the coming and goings of people going inane out of boat show .

The worst experience ever!!!. 20 mins to be asked if we wanted a drink- then we got one glass of wine correct the other totally wrong. Our main course arrived to find my wife's order had been not entered- so she had no dinner as they thought we had said" sharing"!!!. Left in disgust, struggle to understand how it could carry the Marco Pierre "banner. Very- very dissatisfied.

Disappointing. The food was mediocre and not up to the standards expected from a restaurant of this calibre.
Food was fairly bland and service was quite slow especially since the restaurant was not very busy.

We had a lovely Afternoon Tea, sandwiches very fresh and varied, lovely cakes and scones, all fresh and delicious. Pots of tea as and when we wanted. All in all a lovely experience. Very attentive waitress.
