Food was very good. Unfortunately, the heating either did not work or was too sparse. Hence it was very cold in the seating area which meant we had cold red wine which is not ideal. Service was very good.

Myself and two friends came to celebrate an occassion last night. I had heard of Gow's Restaurant but had rated it from the upstairs. Downstairs is quite different. It has a more Victoriana style including panelled walls. Very old school British. Service was quick; efficient and good. We had a "Meal Deal" so food was excellent value. On Wednesday and Thursday they have someone playing the piano and singing, although last night one of the guests got up to sing. He wasn't bad, actually. Overall, a very good dining experience. I can see now why Gow's is so popular. Well done all the staff! We would recommend Gow's to friends and family and may find another occassion to celebrate there again.

The service was appauling and very unfriendly, no one bothered to do any feedback when we were eating and no one asked us if we wanted more drinks when we finished our champagne.
