A charming rural pub and restaurant sat right on the canal, Globe Inn Linslade offers tranquil views of the water, along with modern pub grub and cask ales. The bar area has comfy leather couches, and two roaring log fires.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Globe Inn menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at the Globe Inn pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

With an outdoor play area for kids, as well as al fresco seating, Globe Inn is a 5-minute drive from Leighton Buzzard Rail Station.

Very disappointing, drinks carbonator broken so no lemonade (? Trip to supermarket)
Lovely day again, feel should predict drinks needed, short staffed behind bar - not particularly busy.
    1.5 hour wait for food
Beautiful setting on canal but won't go back for a while

Worse food all 5 of us have had. Cold, over cooked and some re heated . Simply awful and a waste of £70.

The service was dreadful. The fillet steak was of very poor quality with chunks of gristle and tendon which my husband could not cut through let alone eat. We didn't say anything at the time because we couldn't catch the eye of a waiter so poor was the service. We have eaten here before and have liked it. Hope it's not slipping.

prawn cocktail had sauce from bottle on top, bread was old white bread with hard butter. the scampi was over cooked, onion rings like cardboard. We will not return.

I have been to The Globe many many times for lunch, dinner and celebratory meals and have always enjoyed a good all round experience.
However, yesterday I was meting family for lunch and my opinion has now changed! Having booked a table online ,which was the best thing about this visit! I was 'dealt with' by an extremely rude young barman who made us feel 'in the way' as we were interrupting his conversation with another staff member.

The lunch experience was ok but a long wait for food and bill as only one waitress working. She was polite and apologetic. The standard of the food has also declined and is mediocre 'pub food!'

It is such a shame as this pub has a great location & atmosphere but cannot get the correct mix of Staff & Management and will quickly go downhill.

Good food, service could have been a little better, but overall I would definitely go again.
