Beautiful restaurant & ambience. Celebrated my wife's 30th birthday. Food very good a bit expensive but this is to be expected.

Last visited around 5 yrs ago. Food still good but the place looks tired and grubby. Once again a restaurant resting on past success and not updating (or even cleaning) to stay current.

We had a few excellent cocktails! Starters were great and then the manager was very rude to one of our parties so we left after spending £300 plus and finished our dinner elsewhere! Very dissappointing!

Gilgamesh is a great venue and has a variety of delicious food! The service was exemplary, very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for each course. The lemongrass panna cotta with the lime sorbet was scrumptious! so much flavour. I always have a pleasant experience when I go to Gilgamesh

We had a reservation at 20:00, my friends and I arrived 30 min early, so the receptionist recommended us to wait in the bar zone during they prepared the table and she will let us know when it's ready. We waited for an hour an nobody looked for us, do we decided to ask to the receptionist, here the first uncomfortable moment, she said to us: "If you don't tell me you are here, I can not look for you." (A stupid answer because to entry to the bar you have to cross the reception.

So we entry at 20:30 in the restaurant zone. We reserved with the Festival restaurant menu. When we ordered they didn't have 2 of the starters and one of the desserts that they offered. So, it's a small special menu and they can offer only the half of it... Thus, we couldn't try the dishes we wanted to try.

We paid £41 per each, for a non special food. Definitely not worth.

I hadn't been for a few years and wanted to take my hubby/daughter to celebrate my birthday.
    Starters were ok.
    Mains ... V poor.
Deserts... One ok.. Brownie was dry
Staff were too busy chatting and were very indifferent. We had to change a dirty plate . Asked for an extra spoon that never materialised!
All in all I wish we'd eaten from one of the stalls outside! ??
