Very nice setting, and nice atmosphere. The veal schnitzel and the schupfnudeln were both very, very tasty, and both very filling dishes.

The surroundings to the restaurant are impressive and the service friendly and good. The food was good, but £10 for one German sausage and chips I think was a little on the expensive side. The sauerkraut was lovely.

Love the architecture of the restaurant and all the fittings and fixtures. Staff were also very good.

Had a 25% off offer though would have been worth full price. A good selection of subtly flavoured mini rolls and kuchen. Good strudel bit heavy on cinnamon but still enjoyable also linze torte scrummy. Savoury the smoked ham/ sauerkraut was my favourite. Mixed and matched a Austrian and German afternoon tea between us. Couldn't fault food and efficient staff. The setting is quirky and convenient.. Only fault was some of the background music was too intrusive at times... Maybe for benefit of younger clientèle The piped music in the gents was more bavarian / germanic... Possibly didn't need music all the time to get people to drink more.. Had a good atmosphere without.
