Brimming with historic charm, George and Dragon Chipstead is housed in an enchanting 16th-century inn. Crackling log fires and gnarled beams feature indoors, or a contemporary patio offers al fresco dining.

Serving refined British flavours, the George and Dragon menu offers a daily-changing selection. Sourcing from trusted British suppliers, the George and Dragon Chipstead champions local and seasonal produce. Sustainable fish stocks and wholly organic or free range meats are used in dishes like slow-cooked duck leg with gooseberry compote, and Devon crab linguine. Freshly baked bread with English butter offers a delightfully homely touch.

Alongside a sophisticated wine list, George and Dragon restaurant takes full advantage of the local Westerham brewery. As well as a range of cask ales from the brewery, the signature “George’s Marvellous Medicine” is a popular choice.

The George and Dragon blends warm hospitality and fresh, modern flourishes. Sevenoaks Rail Station is 6 minutes’ drive away.

Very warm welcome, excellent staff, esp behind bar. Very good food, only small complaint is three small pieces scallop and one thin slice black pudding for £9.50?? Rest of food was fantastic. Well kept beer. Will return.

Met a friend here for a lunch on Saturday. Food was excellent, served by professional friendly waiting staff. Nice clean pub (with real open fire) in a really pretty village location - lovely atmosphere. The garden also looked nice and we will certyainly return when the weather gets better so we can enjoy a lunch outdoors. Need to book as it was full by 12.45. Only small negative (which is not the pub's fault) was one child was allowed to run around the pub... endlessly (this is down to the arrogance of individuals with children that think its there right to take over a pub). Message to those with children, please respect that others, without child, may be looking to enjoy a quiet lunch.....

We visited the George and Dragon for a family lunch with our two sons. We were greeted and shown to our table with friendliness and politeness from the staff. As one of our sons hadn't arrived we were left to chat and were not rushed to order. We had a range of dishes including standard like chicken to the more unusual such as pigeon breast and venison. All were beautifully presented and thouroughly enjoyed. The staff were very attentive throughout. We will certainly return.

Staff very welcoming. We were given table in the corner opposite the bar nice and warm on a cold day. Waitress very helpful when asked about dishes on menu. We all enjoyed the food we choose.

We had a really good Sunday lunch. Everything was cooked beautifully and very fresh. My family had the roast Chicken with lots of lovely fresh vegetables and tasty gravy, I had the sea bream which was delicious. Despite being very busy our meal was prompt and the service excellent. The atmostphere is lovely in the George and Dragon and the staff are extremely helpfuly and always smiling and happy. We eat there a lot and are never disappointed! Thanks George and Dragon.
