Brimming with historic charm, George and Dragon Chipstead is housed in an enchanting 16th-century inn. Crackling log fires and gnarled beams feature indoors, or a contemporary patio offers al fresco dining.

Serving refined British flavours, the George and Dragon menu offers a daily-changing selection. Sourcing from trusted British suppliers, the George and Dragon Chipstead champions local and seasonal produce. Sustainable fish stocks and wholly organic or free range meats are used in dishes like slow-cooked duck leg with gooseberry compote, and Devon crab linguine. Freshly baked bread with English butter offers a delightfully homely touch.

Alongside a sophisticated wine list, George and Dragon restaurant takes full advantage of the local Westerham brewery. As well as a range of cask ales from the brewery, the signature “George’s Marvellous Medicine” is a popular choice.

The George and Dragon blends warm hospitality and fresh, modern flourishes. Sevenoaks Rail Station is 6 minutes’ drive away.

The scallop starter was lovely as was the duck. Our fellow diners had the pasta and cod and we all enjoyed them. The service was efficient but informal and friendly. We would certainly recommend the restaurant to anyone. My only slight query was the size of the crumble which I felt was a bit big!

Staff very friendly and attentive. Food expensive for the rather meagre portions. I've tasted a lot better for a lot less. Beer average. Pub very nice and great garden.

Mothers Day meal. Got caught in traffic on M25. Restaurant were v friendly and accommodating as we ended up being nearly an hour late.
Food was very good especially the cod. I'd say good restaurant/ v good gastro pub level. Wine list short but good quality and value.
Service a bit sporadic as staff are young and inexperienced but the Kiwi waitress who served was so charming and lovely it didn't matter.

Good, my only reservation is the limitations of the menu. Not enough fish dishes is an example, but generally a limited menu. Staff first class.

Food and service were excellent. Comprehensive menu and relaxed atmosphere in a pretty village just off the M25.

A lovely venue, friendly, courteous staff. The duck pancakes......the best we've tasted. Steak and venison excellent. Chocolate fondue and pistachio ice cream superb.
    Shall return!
