A high-end hideaway in the West End, Gaucho Charlotte Street offers a glamorous take on Argentinian cuisine. Offering one of London’s most glamorous drinks stocks, the cocktail list is compiled by a ‘Bartender of the Decade’ award winner.

Taking inspiration from vibrant South American culture, the Gaucho menu presents an array of bold natural flavours. Fresh ingredients are sourced from Argentina and used to compile favourite dishes, like king prawns with black pudding and fresh orange, or a trio of juicy beef medallions.

Renowned for its dramatically decorated dining rooms, Gaucho restaurants feature swathes of plush black and white leather and rich cowhide stools, all offset by twinkling chandeliers. Contemporary and edgy, Gaucho in London also offers traditional grappa, glamorous cocktails, and fine wines from Argentina’s most celebrated growing regions.

This contemporary space features cocooned booths, cowhide panels and various mezzanine levels. Gaucho on Charlotte Street is a 2-minute walk from Goodge Street Tube Station.

Consistent excellent quality of steak, combined with great service. It is quite expensive though once the starters, sides, bottle of wine and desserts are all added

The restaurant and dining experience was amazing. The food was brilliant and the staff couldn't do enough for us.

Terrible! The service was dreadful, had to wait over an hour to have anything to eat, 40mins for drinks, and when I reminded the waitress of our drinks order, she told me very abruptly that she was covering x3 other tables, and that she was very busy, which was completely unprofessional. To add to this the restaurant was practically empty. A friend was there a week before and they said the same thing. Absolutely terrible, and will not be going back, despite being a very regular customer in the past.

Came here for my girlfriends birthday before heading off to a comedy show 10 mins down the road at Shaftesbury Avenue. Had a booking on a Saturday at 6. Was quite at that time so for more atmosphere would probably look to go later on in the evening. We both went for steak as a main. Fillet being the only option as it was madams birthday. Food as expected was amazing and princess agreed. Service was top notch and very prompt. Nice classy place which boasted fancy features including cow skin themed walls. Was a bit pricey for an average Joe but well worth it for a special occasion. Paid £35 for a 300g fillet and around £40 for a bottle of red. Overall well worth the visit for a special occasion especially if you are going to combine a comedy / theater night afterwards.
