Hi. we attended a pre theatre meal here at Garfunkles and were immediately shown to a table. it was not busy, surprising for a Friday, but became so in the next hour. We ordered a set menu meal with some cider and one side dish. The meal arrived in reasonable time and was served hot. The waiting staff were attentive though a might rushed I suspect they could have done with another pair of hands. I found the décor pleasant but the chairs a little uncomfortable and the bathroom access was downstairs so not so easy for infirm. Overall a nice meal and I would use this place again

Friendly cheerful and good menu choices. Rather noisey but good atmosphere. Great location for theatre.

Initially we were waiting 45 minutes for our meal to arrive even though the restaurant was not particularly busy at that time. When we complained the Duty Manager and the waitress were very good even giving us a doggy bag to take away what we couldn't eat and giving us a discount.

Attentive staff. Right next door to the theatre.

Greeted and seated quickly. Order for drinks taken and time given for food order. Very long wait (20minutes) for food. Noticed that servings were huge. So large that they were off putting. I had fish cakes, jacket potato and ' seasonal vegetables. Fish cake was tasty but dry. Jacket potato slightly undercooked and the seasonal vegetable consisted of a few sugar snap peas and green beans.
Service was very slow and although our waitress did her job there was no warmth. We had no second course, just a coffee which again took a long time to come.

Table was a little small for 5 adults. We were placed at the back of the restaurant which was extremely hot. We asked for the air con but no joy. The salad bar was disappointing. Most of the dishes were looking rather dried up or empty. There was not enough variety. My son felt his burger was a little under cooked. My spaghetti was under seasoned.

Booked early bite to eat at Garfunkels as it is next door to The Dominion Theatre where we were to see "War of the Worlds".Excellent fast service and good salad bar.
