Absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The menu was divine with such creative dishes and flavour combinations. The service was impeccable and the semelier was incredibly helpful. Thank you also for the additional 'happy birthday' touch! A perfect afternoon! Thank you.

Awarded a Michelin star just 1 year after opening, Galvin La Chapelle is the third venture from illustrious chef brothers, Chris and Jeff. Amidst the fashionable buzz of east London, this spectacular Grade II-listed site also boasts a summery al fresco terrace.

Offering a seasonally changing repertoire from chef patron, Jeff Galvin, the La Chapelle menu spans from elegant prix fixe choices, to gourmet Sunday roasts. Exquisite Galvin signature dishes include pavé of sea trout with squid ink linguine, or Landes foie gras with Lyonnaise onions, while desserts, complete with sommelier recommendations, include coffee parfait with berry compote and chocolate crumble.

Named both Tatler magazine and AA London’s Restaurant of the Year, the award-showered Galvin La Chapelle in London boasts one of the most skillfully compiled cellars in London. A rare vertical wine list is offered, as well as some invaluable vintage bottles.

The majestic Galvin La Chapelle dining room features medieval-style chandeliers, lofty stone ceilings and statuesque pillars. La Chapelle restaurant in Spitalfields is a 4-minute walk from Liverpool Street Station.

The dress code is smart casual.

We have eaten here before and had very good experiences. However last night we were disappointed. The food was only average. Not Michelin star. Given the number of staff the service was patchy. Having to ask twice for things and then being rushed when we'd asked to hold back the main course for little while.
Wont return for a while as so many new restaurants around now with stunning cooking and great service.

Wonderful ambience, great food, friendly and attentive waiting staff. We ordered the seven course tasting menu, and were not disappointed, the first course, a crab lasagne, being a particularly tasty starter. The wine sommelier's suggestion of an accompanying Sancerre was spot on.

This was an absolute treat! The restaurant decor is just beautiful, a mix between an old church and Art Deco, which sounds like it shouldn't work but it did! The staff were lovely and really helpful. The food was magnificent, we had three courses and we could hardly move afterwards! Each course was beautifully laid out and tasted amazing - we are avid foodies so we had to buy their cookbook! We did the 3 course for £35 which included bubbles and it was excellent value for money, we will definitely be returning!
