Firstly the ambience of the restaurant was most inviting. We had a great table.
The service was excellent - as was the food.
All in all we were extremely satisfied.

After visiting Galvin at Centurion in St Albans we were very excited about going to Galvin at the Hilton Park Lane. However the Bellinis were not good - not a very good start. The food was very average. The main course (the fish) had too much butter. I have tasted much better Sauvignon Blanc and the dessert although the description was fantastic turned out to be a tarte tatin with a soggy bottom and ice cream. We were told it was not a tart as such but some kind of pancake - still soggy. will not be visiting again. The best part was the view. (The amuse bouche was tasty too!)

Had dinner at Galvin at Windows on the 28th floor of the London Park Lane Hilton. Naturally, the views were impressive, the service was very good as was the food. The food was not great, but we didn't expect it to be, and it didn't affect how much we enjoyed the experience one bit.

We started off with duck breast, cold bacon and endive appetizer and an artichoke, asparagus and goat cheese salad. Both were served with a rustic sliced bread, and dark brown wheat pull apart rolls with a rich butter to slather on top. The appetizer course was good, just not great. The bread, however, was!

For entrees we had a deconstructed coq au vin. Again, no complaints, but no raves either. The broccoli I side was small but very good.

The apple tart for dessert was served with a burnt butter ice cream and both were excellent.

Bellinis at 15 British pounds each were excessive, but you are paying for the spectacular view!

I would recommend Galvin at Windows to anyone coming to London.
