A relaxed informal setting that was ideal for a family gathering. There a good choice in the menu plus the option of a roast from the serverie. We discovered the latter by chance as it was not seen on the main menu. We were pleased to make this first visit and expect to return.

In a waterside building that used to produce cider, Fromebridge Mill is a rustic rural pub filled with original features. There are 3 tranquil garden seating areas, a waterwheel feature, and a millpond filled with wildlife.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Fromebridge Mill menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at the Fromebridge Mill pub features carefully chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

A wonderfully tranquil rural pub, Fromebridge Mill Gloucester is a 12-minute drive from Stonehouse Rail Station.

The Food was very good although we had a 45min wait. The real bugbear is the queuing for a drink and again to order the food. You need more staff for the number of people dinning

Carvery was very nice, good selection but needed to be topped up quicker. Service was very slow needs more than one person running the carvery.

Food service was good...but getting drinks was a little slow due to the lack of bar staff.

I arrived early to meet my guests. I asked the waitress what time the cavery closed and she told me 10.00. we were told there was over an hour wait so we all picked carvery. we went to the bar to order an pay to be told it had just closed at 8.30. I told them the waitress had told me 10.00 so she went to the chef who said if we waited 5 mins for some Yorkshire puddings to warm up we could still have carvery, but there was no mash potatoes left, not a problem as were not that keen anyway. we agreed to this. when we went up he said there was limited veg. LIMITD VEG!!!! There was 5 roast potatoes, peas and some sweed. and this was for 8 of us!!! after we said we were leaving and going somewhere else, the chef agreed to cook more veg for us, which he did and the meal in the end was really. by this time it was gone 9.30 and my Birthday meal was spoilt as my friends were all starving and fed up.

Service was very good and quicker than advised. Staff friendly though could do with more behind the bar as they have to take both food orders and drinks and you tend to have to wait quite a while for drinks and the queue gets long very quickly! Food was very good and over all we all enjoyed the meal.
