In a lively setting at the Gyle Shopping Centre, Frankie & Benny's Edinburgh Gyle presents eclectic American and Italian cuisine. Freshly stirred cocktails are served at the bar and there are ample gluten-free options on the menu.
The Frankie & Benny’s menu offers a tasty range of New York Italian classics. Legendary burgers include the juicy Brooklyn beef burger, loaded high with smoky barbecue pulled beef, and the Manhattan waffle burger topped with a sweet American waffle and drizzled with smoky barbecue sauce. There’s also a wide range of pizzas and pastas, including the fully loaded mac ‘n’ cheese calzone, delicious Roman smoky pizza and signature F&B meatballs.
Enjoy a stateside-style breakfast, with all-American pancakes topped with bacon and syrup served with freshly ground coffee. A host of drinks are mixed at the bottle-lined bar, offering classic cocktails, world wines, and fresh milkshakes churned with your favourite ice cream flavour.
A popular, informal venue, Frankie & Benny's in Edinburgh Gyle is a 12-minute walk from the South Gyle Rail Station.

It's a bit of you know what you are getting type place. Although some of the dishes weren't very warm and the steak was brown all the way through and not very warm when ordered medium rare. Service was good particularly when refunding child's meal due to the wait for child's desert.

I had dined on a week day before and found it good value for money. The Sunday prices were a slight shock. The food was good and plentiful.
Little niggles: My bench seat had a join just where I sat and was most uncomfortable. the water glasses were filled to the brim with ice(I used an empty glass at another table to lose it.) The pepper pot on the table was so full of large grain pepper it couldn't get out the bashed top.

We ate from the lunch time menu and were all surprised at the generous portions we received. Food was very tasty although I think the fries could have had another couple of minutes' cooking. They were very busy but the service was still good and we didn't have to wait too long for our food.

The meal was lovely. First time I've finished a meall I'm a long time. Took us a while to stop a waitress and ask for more drinks but overall it was great

We loved the atmosphere, and the staff were really friendly, top marks.
BUT we won't go back because the food lets you down, big time.
