The brainchild of Giuseppe Mascoli, Franco Manca Belsize Park takes pizza back to its simplest roots. This celebrated sourdough pizza restaurant is ‘regularly voted the best in the country’, according to The Times.
Blasted in a wood-burning oven at 500°C and then topped with premium, organic ingredients, favourite toppings from the Franco Manca menu include Gloucester Old Spot ham, and cured chorizo. Heaters and blankets keep al fresco diners toasty in winter, and there is a conservatory area indoors.
Franco Manca restaurant prides itself on its carefully sourced food and drink. Fine organic wine, ‘no logo’ beer and an array of soft drinks is headed by the renowned organic lemonade. Regularly-changing puddings are chalked on the boards at Franco Manca in London along with other ‘bites’ and specials.
Proving to be as popular as its predecessors, Belsize Park Franco Manca is found 3 minutes’ walk from Belsize Park Tube Station.

Friendly service, met our requirements, particularly since some of the party had to leave to catch a train. Good with the children.
The food was fine too. The only quibble was that the side salad arrived far too late for the people who'd ordered it, so we sent it back. They weren't charged for it!
I think the lateness was due to the waiter's difficulty with English, not understanding that the salad was required with the pizzas! I'm sure that will improve. His overall manner was warm and friendly. Well done!

Our waiter was fun and courteous, until he disappeared later on without telling us that he was finishing his service with us. We were a table predominantly of Italians, all who agreed that the pizza base wasn't cooked properly. One sent it back. The toppings were fresh, if a bit sparse and the price was reasonable. Overall, disappointing but not a bank breaker.

Brilliant pizzas - the only ones I have found I can eat without a reaction to the wheat. Really good value too.
