A relaxed sister venue to the much-praised Hawksmoor steakhouses, Foxlow is a chic neighbourhood restaurant in Clerkenwell. It specialises in slow smoked and charcoal grilled dishes, incorporating exciting spices and recipes from around the world.
Starters on the Foxlow menu feature crispy 5 pepper squid and pea guacamole, which precede sumptuous offerings like a salt marsh lamb T-bone with new potatoes, bacon, little gem & peas, and hake with saffron white beans & roast tomatoes. There’s spice-roasted aubergine with tomatoes, fresh herbs & Bermondsey Frier, while 35 day-aged steaks are supplied by the highly regarded Ginger Pig.
Set over 2 floors, Foxlow in London is a boldly minimalist space of off-white tiles, rustic exposed brickwork and red booths. It serves a creative selection of American-inspired cocktails, as well as a range of craft beers and ciders. Nostalgic sundaes are among delectable desserts.
On St John Street, Foxlow is a 5-minute walk from Farringdon Tube Station, and 7 minutes’ walk from Barbican Tube Station.

Excellent service , the food was mostly good but steak a bit cold, the house wine was terrible, the bottle we had was just about ok, this needs to be improved.

Loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service was top notch. I have no complaints at all.
I had the chicken sandwich with chips and mac and cheese on the side - I ate every last crumb. I'd recommend the chicken.
