It is a pleasure to dine at the Fox & Goose. Food is superb, quality, presentation. Staff always friendly and excellent service. Just wish we were closer - 50 mile journey but well worth it.

Set in the charming village of Fressingfield in Suffolk, The Fox & Goose restaurant showcases traditional-meets-modern cuisine. This 2 AA Rosette-holding restaurant is featured in both the Michelin and Harden's food guides.
Starters on the Fox & Goose menu might include smoked duck breast with pickled winter vegetables, whilst the wild sea bass with scallop mousse with sherry caramel and Parmesan crumble is a must-try main course.
A mouth-watering array of desserts follow, among which the chocolate and peanut butter mousse with popcorn, salted caramel and caramelised white chocolate sorbet is a favourite. This Grade II-listed setting also features an impressive al fresco area, shaded by the neighbouring greenery.
Featuring a tasting menu and a prized Sunday lunch offering, The Fox & Goose is a diverse dining spot. Bosting many original features, this former guildhall has stood on the site since 1509.

The Fox & Goose is one of our favourite restaurants, particularly for a special occasion and it has been consistently good for so many years.
We all had a lovely meal and a good time.
We had asked to sit upstairs and initially were disappointed to find we were downstairs but the side room was fine, slightly less formal, which suited us. (although one of our party could have done with a downstairs loo!)
All hugely enjoyed our meals, there was bread to start, followed by a delicious pre-starter to the autumnal inspired menu. I then had the crab starter ( very nice) and the vegetarian meal which was an explosion of different tastes on a plate ( really delicious and filling and able to hold its own against the meat mains). A lovely little amuse bouche followed and only one of our group had room for what looked like a lovely desert. There was a nice touch of providing a candle with the complimentary sweets that accompanied teas and coffees to celebrate a birthday and golden wedding anniversary.
All in all once again a great success and the Fox & Goose has still never let us down. A big thank you to Paul and the team for all their hard work.

Quite simply the best food we have eaten in Suffolk, by a long way. Unbelievable food and really good value - £34 for three courses of that quality is amazing.

Excellent lunchtime meal, great hospitality, and very good value.
This a wonderful historic pub with a great gastronomic history. The meal fully lived up to expectation, and was well worth the extra bit of trouble to find the pub.
We were a party of 5 adults for a birthday celebration lunch, after visiting an exhibition at nearby Wingfield Barns.
The set lunchtime menu was varied, interesting and the food excellent. It represented very good value. The 'special' of local partridge was superb.
The wine list (predominantly French) is also very good. Service was prompt without being rushed, and we were made to feel very welcome.

Allthe dishes were delicious but the crab stands out and so does the duck. We always enjoy our time at f and g. This was no different

We have been coming to The Fox and Goose for the past three years, since we moved from Yorkshire to Norfolk, we have never been disappointed! we were entertaining friends from Watford who dine a lot in London and they were very impressed by the venue, the ambience, quality of service and most of all the food.
Portion size is spot on, the flavour combinations are amazing and there is always something different!
