My partner and I really enjoyed the food, and the atmosphere was nice and quite so we got to talk... The portions were a very good size, and the food was cooked well.
We will definitely return at some point.

We come to the flying Childers every time we come up to Melton Mowbray and not once have we had a bad experience, the food is delicious the staff are friendly. My favourite dishes are baked Camembert, rotisserie chicken, red velvet cheesecake which is to die for we will be back again in August so I'm looking forward to having my red velvet cheesecake then

    Good food reasonably priced.
Some of the staff looked a bit miserable wouldn't even crack a smile.

Food was amazing, location is fantastic, the perfect place to hold an 80th birthday celebration, Lesley the waitress was exceptional, just a shame the restaurant didn't open any earlier than 12 as we would have been there all day :)

The children loved the burgers and ice cream sundaes.
The staff were superb, but I had to keep my coat on throughout the meal as it was a bit chilly.

This was the first time we had dined here, the reason we chose here was because our daughter is performing in panto at Melton Theatre so wanted somewhere nice to eat. Upon arrival my husband and I both commented on how nicely festively decorated it was, and looked very clean and we'll kept. We were shown to our seats and presented with menus, including the specials menu.
The waitress returned after a short while to take our drinks orders. We then ordered our food, we chose the combo starter,my husband the mixed grill and myself the scampi.
Waiting times were minimal and we were served with a hot, plentiful starter.
Our plates were cleared away and again a short wait for our mains.
When they arrived, the first thing we both commented on was the vast amount of food there was, it was hot and was absolutely fantastic, my only small (and it is small) grumble was no steak knife, but that really was not an issue.
We had another round of drinks and then decided to have a dessert, I chose the jam rolly poley and husband the Chocolate indulgence sundae.
Again we could not fault anything about our visit, and will shall definitely be returning.
