Food and service were excellent. Great live band which was not too loud, You could still hear each other speak. Lively atmosphere. I would eat here again.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Carom Bar and Restaurant (& Floridita) will be closed for business until further notice. Please check the website for further details. Nestled within the heart of the lively West End, Floridita blends mouth watering Cuban cuisine, cocktails and live music with the glamour and decadence from a bygone era in this Latin inspired Soho restaurant.

With deep red decor, luxurious white leathers, huge mirrors and an abundance of crystal, Floridita London encapsulates atmosphere and style for a truly decadent dining experience. The long Cuban cocktail bar serves daiquiris and mojitos from Havana's original secret recipes.

Serving up an array of delicious interpretations of cosmopolitan Cuban and Latin American cuisine, the Floridita menu showcases Cuban lobster, meatballs stuffed with quail's eggs, suckling pig, steaks, Cuban chorizo hamburgers and salads, as well as a superb dessert list. There is also a slick and diverse extensive wine list to complement your meal.

An intoxicating and lively restaurant, Floridita’s stage hosts a glittering array of live entertainment or resident Latin American bands each night of the week, enhancing your Cuban dining experience. Floridita Soho is just a 7-minute walk from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station.

I have been to Floridita a few times and I like the premise of it, good Cuban music and nice cocktails. However, the money grabbing attitude towards a commodity that is a customer is getting now quite staggering. So much so it is difficult to enjoy yourself any more. From the threats of having to abandon your table at a specific time during booking process to having security people chase after you for wanting to sit at one many empty tables to rest your feet after dancing - it all more resembles a dictatorship rather than hospitality. When I explained that we were sitting at a table where my party had had an earlier dinner booking, the dictators relented but asked us to move to another table. Only to send a waiter over who insisted we should have a minimum spend of £35! Soon after we have just eaten and paid at another table. He eventually relented, but by that point we had enough and left early. Good music, forgettable food and unforgettably bad customer service. Won't be rushing back.

Lovely food, lively atmosphere. The place is quite trendy and also quite large so would probably suit parties very well, but there are also plenty of tables for two and cosy booths near the stage (cordoned off to allow dancing space!). I expect it could feel quite cavernous on a quiet night, but I suppose that's why they're not open 7 days a week. Service was attentive and friendly without ever being rushed (thanks Brigita) and we didn't feel treated differently for having the London Restaurant Festival set menu offer - I've been to other places with similar offers and you sometimes feel like you're being tolerated. The food was lovely, and the cocktail list was impressive - we had to stay for one after our meal to enjoy the live band too!

The place is amazing, but the food was slightly tasteless...

I was there on a London Restaurant Festival booking, which we enjoyed, good food, service, music (though a little load at times as we were near the stage) and drink (cocktails were a little punchy) but all in all a good night, I would go again.

It couldn't get more festive. Amazing experience.

All in all an enjoyable evening. Good quality food from the set menu (though bit cheeky that sides were £4 each on top of the offer...) and attentive service. The music and dancing added to a buzzing ambience.
