    Where do I begin?
Starter: A green cauliflower soup? Cheap beetroot not the type described with a chewy peanut brittle and thin goats cheese 'sauce'?!?!?!?!?
Main course: Peppercorn sauce!?!?!?! A disgusting tasting gravy that ruined my main course. The waiter informed me that the peppercorns had been sieved out???????? The steak was CHEWY, I ordered medium to well with my peppercorn sauce and my guest medium when we did eventually manage to cut into the steak I had been given the medium and my guest the medium to well!?!?!?!?
Dessert: Sorbet, where can go wrong with that? Lovely chocolate dessert but just plonked on the middle of the plate - the MASTERCHEF cooks would not have allowed this?
The waiter was naive and tried to do his level best to improve our dining experience but until a nearby table also complained about the alleged peppercorn sauce, definitely a grim tasting gravy NOT peppercorn sauce, we only had to pay for 50% of our very disappointing dining experience.

We had booked for 4 of us to meet in London 2 came from Herts and 2 from Kent. The waitress was fantastic - We ordered steak with Peppercorn sauce - It came out like gravy with absolutely no hint of Peppercorn - It went back and came out 10 mins later while food was getting cold and still no peppercorns! We ordered Broccoli and carrots - No carrots came out so waitress asked for them - 10 mins later a pot of stone cold (Like out of fridge!) carrots appeared and had to go back - Food even colder now! One of us had steak so tough that she could not eat it yet this was not removed off of the bill. The manager came and took the cold carrots and we did not see him after that. We were left with a waitress that could not apologise enough! Our bill came and all that was taken off was the carrots! We waited a long time for our get together and thought that visiting a nice restaurant in London would be ideal - How wrong could we be - I was told that the afternoon tea was nice as it was not the same chef!

Lovely food and service was good. My friends were a little surprised at first when they arrived that builders were in the restaurant and that nothing was set up. They had to go into the bar and have a drink while the tables were being organised. But after that, it was a very pleasant evening.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drink we were the only ones dining on the Sunday evening so there was no ambience but service was excellent

The restaurants location in hotel makes for a grand entrance and the plush and luxuries interior is a delight ! We were seated promptly and given our menus ! We were a little disappoint in that the deal menu was quite slim and the choices very limiting ! However the ginger and carrot soup was lovely for mains our party had both the rump steak and cod ! The steaks were very generous in portions if a little too big and accompanied with chips both were delicious a side salad or slaw would have been a nice accompaniment ! The cod was cooked surperbly and ate very well however the generous seasoning was a little over powering for our palate a little less salt ! The anya potatoes were good again veg and sides were extras which for the price is understandable some what however some competitors are a good match for price and quantity!! Service was good however we had three different waiters which was a little off putting !! Overall lovely ambience and great location , would go again but attention to detail could be key
