In a tranquil setting next to Titchfield Abbey, Fishermans Rest Titchfield is an inviting family-friendly pub with a versatile menu. With real ales at the taps, there is also a picturesque riverside garden, perfect for lazy summer days.
Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Fishermans Rest menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.
The drinks list at the Fishermans Rest pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.
A serene setting and welcoming ambience make Fishermans Rest Titchfield an ideal rural pub, with Fareham Rail Station being an 8-minute drive away.

Booked a table for Sunday lunch through Bookatable which was very painless. Arrived at Fishermans Rest after a 20ml cycle ride with 2 other couples and was greeted by a charming young waitress who showed us to our table and took our drinks order which arrived pretty swiftly, minor point that the ladies weren't served their drinks first and had to wait a bit longer for their jug of Pimms. I ordered the Lamb shank, as did 3 others, and it was absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't fault it. The other 2 had Steak and Roast Pork. All plates were cleared with the exception of the lamb bones ??

The ambience and staff were fine. One of our party sent their meal back as the steak was burnt. This was replaced and apologies offered. Service was slow but understandably due to numbers of guests. We ordered two drinks just before leaving but they never arrived. These were charged for but taken off the bill when their attention was drawn to the oversight. Our waitress was very helpful and very pleasant. The meals when they arrived were delicious and well presented.

The booking service was great. Unfortunately the food was not piping hot and my hubs chips described as cooked 3 times were not cooked through. Apart from this the food was ok and would try once more. To see if it was that particular night and one off.
