Set in the heart of the city, Filling Station Inverness serves an array of stateside classics. Offsetting cosy booths and glossy wood indoors, a summer al fresco area overlooks the neighbouring square.

The Filling Station menu compiles dishes from the length and breadth of America. World-famous classics include deep dish Chicago-style pizzas served in the pan, succulent Kentucky wings, or a towering club sandwich with homemade slaw. A hearty breakfast menu includes a pancake stack lathered with maple syrup, or roast ham and eggs.

At The Filling Station bar, enjoy refreshing cocktails, smooth shakes and international beers, all accompanied by a soundtrack of chilled Motown and classic American rock. The Filling Station kids menu offers an array of choice, from the BBQ pulled pork wrap, to delicious American meatballs with homemade sauce.

Recreating the sunshiny buzz of a classic 1950s diner, Filling Station Inverness sits adjacent to Inverness Rail Station.

The food was great, as usual, though they did get a couple of things wrong, which they quickly sorted . It was really busy and the waitresses seemed to be flying, but we didn't have to wait too long for each course.

Booked a table for 2 for 6.30 on Friday 29th April! Arrived at 6.15 and when mentioned I had a booking they had no note of this, although they did manage to find me a table it was very busy with almost all tables full!! Meal was good but found the service rather slow and also thought it was rather overpriced for what it was.

Nice food and a nice, pleasant place to dine in. We got a booth which both the children and I like.
We all had a main and a sweet. I was not all that impressed with the vanilla cheesecake but this may be personal preference. There was no biscuit base and I found it a bit stodgy. We all enjoyed our food and the only part I was disappointed with was the cheesecake, which is my absolute favourite dessert. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Haven't been here for a while, it will be some before or if we go back. It was fairly busy and didn't have enough staff on but the worst thing was the good! My daughter had the slider, 3 little burgers on buns. They were inedible, absolutely cremated, my loaded skins starter was burnt round the edges ad pretty tasteless. Obviously one of the staff that wasn't on duty was the chef.

We went to Inverness for my sons 40th. The manager and staff at The Filling Station could not have been more helpful and friendly. They decorated the table with stuff we had taken up and pinned a photo collage on the wall, it was great right down to bringing the cake through and taking group photos. I would definitely recommend it for any type of celebration.
