Led by renowned chef Simon Rogan, Michelin-starred Fera at Claridge’s offers a creative take on modern British cuisine. The finest organic ingredients are showcased on the Fera menu, with many raised on Rogan’s own farm in the Lake District, and others sourced from trusted growers. Regularly reimagined in line with the season’s best produce, dishes are compiled with sensitivity, ingenuity and world-class skill. These might include Galloway beef with turnip, oyster mushroom and bone marrow, or salted chocolate cream with jasmine, lemon and caramel.

    We were on a special offer and maybe this was the reason we were harried and hassled from the moment we sat down- always someone hovering ready to dash to the kitchen and serve our next course!! The amuse bouch came all together instead of as little tasters between the courses and if I hadn't slowed my husband down - we would have been all through with 3 courses in under an hour! Great for pre- theatre I suppose. About the food - main course VERY over salted and the dessert way too sweet.

    Fantastic meal and restaurant ambience. Stand out dishes were the duck confit and custard desert however calling it a custard desert doesn't do it justice it had ice cream nuggets made with dry ice and many other delicious elements and usually I don't have a sweet tooth. Only one negative is the sommelier - after telling him I like rich creamy chardonnays - recommended an unfiltered wine that was more akin to cider which was a real disappointment however I did have the opportunity to try it so should have rejected it and chosen something else but didn't so only myself to blame there however terrible recommendation from a trained professional.

    Without doubt this was one of the best gastronomic experiences I have had!! We have dined previously at L'Enclume so we fully appreciate the wizard that is Simon Rogan but the spectacle of the most amazing hotel and the best service I have EVER experienced added to an amazing menu which simply excites, delights and amazes my tastebuds !!!!!

    The waiting staff at Fera are incredible - efficient and slick but with a warmth of character and personality often lacking in fine dining restaurants . My experience was rounded off with a tour of the kitchen and an opportunity to meet the man himself .

    I cannot thank the team at Fera enough it was an experience that I will not forget and now cannot wait to visit again !!!! I sincerely hope that they receive the second Michelin which they covet - they absolutely deserve it !!!

    The snacks were absolutely delicious and beautifully served (as were all the courses). My partner felt that the duck confit starter was a little over salted. We both felt that the vegetarian main course was also a little too salty for our taste. The chamomile custard with raspberries was divine! The service was impeccable and all the staff were very friendly without being obtrusive. There was also absolutely no problem with my partner being gluten-free (coeliac) and adapting dishes to meet that requirement if necessary.
