Specialising in seasonal seafood, Falmouth Bay Seafood Café is a restaurant set within the Grade II-listed Castle Villa. Enjoying views out onto Truro River, the restaurant also showcases a curated wine list and serves non-fish & vegetarian options.

Start with a pre-dinner cocktail such as the ‘Shugborough Shake’ comprising fresh raspberries, strawberry liqueur, vodka, elderflower & fresh lemon, then indulge in a hearty meal of fresh seafood. Favourites on the Falmouth Bay menu include Cornish crab in a velvety sauce, finished with herb crumbs & parmesan, classic bouillabaisse with shellfish & local white fish, served with parmesan cheese, rouille & croutons, and surf & turf consisting of a prime cut medallion of Cornish fillet steak, king prawn & lobster tail, dripping in a garlic butter sauce, served with salad & chips.

To finish, indulge in a decadent dessert, like slow-roasted figs in honey, topped with Greek yoghurt & pistachios. With white-washed walls, clean, minimalist design & large windows letting the sun stream in, Falmouth Bay restaurant is a sophisticated, nautical-themed space.

Falmouth Bay Seafood Café in Truro is a 9-minute walk from Truro Rail Station.

It was a lovely surprise to find this very beautiful restaurant as I had booked on line I had no idea about it really. The restaurant ambience was perfect for our little group and the service was friendly and excellent. The food was delicious and carefully prepared and cooked to perfection. We had a very pleasant evening with delicious food.

Friendly welcome and excellent quality seafood dishes. There are interesting cocktails and a range of wines. Light and airy dining area. Crab and lobster risotto was delicious and all is nicely presented.

Ambience and Sarah's service was excellent, helpful and unobtrusive. Food was very good as usual, although we both found the Risotto a little too rich to our taste. Thanks for a nice evening.

A superb meal with fabulous service. We visited the Seafood Cafe for Valentine's Day after having an excellent meal with a friend in January. Once again we were treated to a meal of the highest quality from the oyster starters, to main courses of perfectly cooked salmon and duck finished by perfect desserts. A short but great wine list and truly great staff provided everything we needed for a special evening. Thank you

The squid and chorizo salad was exceptional. This was my 1st time here and I will definitely be back. It's got a great ambiance and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Awesome selection of seafood. We shared the crispy oysters and garlic prawns to start - the prawns in particular were delicious! I had a massive plate of the lobster and crab tagliatelle, which was lovely, though a bit heavy - don't plan to operate heavy machinery afterwards. He had the Seabass - all three generous fillets of it! We had no room for dessert, but did polish off a couple of cocktails that, again, were a decent size! The only negative was that the restaurant was rather quiet, so lacked ambience, but that is easily sorted by folk reading this review and getting themselves to the Falmouth Bay Seafood Cafe!
