The Iberian cuisine served at Eyre Brothers Restaurant in Shoreditch, London is innovative with inflections of traditional Mozambican cooking. Guy Dimond from Time Out notes that ‘every dish we tried exceeded our expectations’, whilst Eyre Brothers Restaurant was also a frontrunner in the Carlton Restaurant Awards, ‘Best Iberian’ category.

With 24-hour notice, diners can order salt-baked wild sea bass or bream or a Portuguese-style whole, roast suckling pig. Hefty sharing platters also occupy the Eyre Brothers Restaurant menu, featuring Alentejo-style pork paired with firm, fleshy clams and cooked in a sealed copper cataplana. Seafood stews burst with flavour, marinating in aromatic herbs and fresh rustic vegetables.

Robust oak furnishing complements the clean, white linen tablecloths and stark, minimalist fixtures that decorate the former warehouse. Elegantly carved wooden stools sit in line with the long, gleaming bar that stretches the length of the room, whilst dappled oak panelling and flourishes of greenery underpin the rustic simplicity of Eyre Brothers Restaurant.

On the fringes of trendy Shoreditch, Eyre Brothers Restaurant in London is a 6-minute walk from Shoreditch High Street Rail Station.

My husband and I had dinner with friends. We all felt that the service was very poor. It spoilt our evening because we felt unwelcome and ignored. I had to go and find menus from the front desk, the waiter was bored, uninterested and curt. The menu was very interesting and our meals were good. We all enjoyed our dinner but would not return there.

Somewhat hidden and unassuming down Leonard st, the modern interior with wood canopy embraces the diner in a lively clean, pleasant environment . We were celebrating a work and social end of day. The staff are immediately attentive and welcome smiles abound.
Food is Iberian fusion and is served correctly and fresh and hot.
I'd say overall it was a tad expensive, but nevertheless recommend the restaurant wholly for the ambience etc. great also for a stroll around shoreditch, brick lane afterwards.

The food was good, However we were disappointed to find we were not able to order any tapas from our seat at the restaurant. Tapas are only available for costumers sitting at the bar. Overall the food was very nice however, the whole experience was let down by the staff. I asked if there was a sommelier available to help with wine selections and I was informed by the waitress that she was able to do this, Unfortunately she did not speak english very well nor know much about wine. I was told all the rose wines were very dry, however on trying 3 different ones I was surprised that they were ALL quite sweet. This annoyance would of been avoided had the waitress been trained on the wines or was able to understand what we were asking for. Further more dishes were recommended by the waitress that were not even on the menu. Normally this isn't an issue but on this occasion it just added another blow to the service standards we were expecting from this establishment.
