Situated directly by the Museum for Applied Art, in its park, the Emma Metzler restaurant serves the kind of gastronomy which highlights the chef’s attention to detail and how much thought has been put into each meal. Chef Burkhard Lindlar offers contemporary, creative excellence in his cooking, which Gourmet Guide Gault Millau considered worthy of 15 of their coveted points. When cooking the food, the kitchen staff takes particular note of ecological and social responsibilities, with no duck or goose foie gras or any protected species used in the cuisine. The focus is placed on organic and free range regional products. Even the wines come from organic and dynamic vineyards. This emphasis carries over into the flavour, which guests can also experience in the lunchtime specials.
