Came for the Sunday carvery which was very good....12.30 seems to be a good time - restaurant wasn't too busy or noisy and the food was very fresh....

3 of us went for an early Sunday roast. We arrived at 12.30 and were seated straight away. I had to find staff to change my wine glass as when it arrived from the bar I realised it has 2 big chips out of the rim. When we went up for our roast we had cold plates for the meal to be served on, the gentleman carving was intent on finishing his conversation before acknowledging we were waiting. When we sat down to eat, the beef was good, the mash was cold and lumpy, the cauliflower cheese tasted as if it was just in a white sauce, we were told by the server that the stuffing was just cooked paxo mixed and the gravy was vegetarian. Seriously, can't a kitchen make its own. When it was time to go once again I had to leave the table to find someone to ask for the bill. Overall the staff seemed totally disinterested, the food was average, and I won't be going back in a hurry.

Unfortunately not the best experience, service was slow and the food was not very hot and had to be returned. Last time we went a few months ago was great. Will think twice about returning. I do believe have new chefs and a lot of staff have left. Really sad as it was great.

Excellent food and service. They were very busy but were able to manage an off-menu request for an omelette from my daughter who didn't fancy any of the standard menu.

Service was reasonable. Food average at best. We were seated at a very small table when there was a much larger table nearby. We enguired about the larger table and were told it was reserved. Eventually the table was occupied by one diner.

We had the Sunday Carvery which was OK but the beef had run out and the roast potatoes were very dry. Quite disappointing as it was only 2 pm and lots more customers came in after us.
