It was brilliant! I took the vegan one and my mum the traditional one. It was okey to ask for more of the ones you loved (even if we couldn't finish everything we got in the first place). They even asked us if we would like to take the ones left home. It is expensive but it was worth it!

In the heart of bustling Knightsbridge, The Egerton House Hotel offers elegant boutique dining. With crisp table linen, crystal and candles, The Egerton House maintains a classic simplicity, serving fine afternoon tea in an historic venue.

Traditional afternoon tea at Egerton House Hotel offers a selection of mouth-watering sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and indulgent cakes. Try the homemade chocolate and orange brownie, toffee caramel cupcake and spiced pumpkin and plum tart.

Add extra indulgence with the champagne afternoon tea and for the kids, a Teddy Bear's Picnic afternoon tea adds a playful twist to the tradition, with miniature treats accompanied by a delicious hot chocolate drink.

The discreet Egerton House is known for its classic signature martinis alongside a range of gins, whiskies and specially selected spirits from all over the world. The Egerton House Hotel is a 7-minute walk from Knightsbridge and South Kensington Tube Stations.

We went to Egerton House Hotel for afternoon tea for my husband's birthday. It was a really special experience, the service was impeccable and so well personalised, the dining room was elegant and beautiful, and the staff were absolutely lovely. Not only were they able to provide vegan afternoon tea, with a full range of vegan (and very tasty!) sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries, but they also do a special 'doggy afternoon tea', with homemade meatloaf, biscuits and doggy ice cream as well as a toy. Overall an amazing afternoon and we'd highly recommend it for a special occasion.

I booked a vegan afternoon tea for my sister and me. I received a confirming text and two days before the date I received a confirming call. Perfect.
We arrived, took our seats and started. It was the very first afternoon tea of our lives and we enjoyed it very much! We chose the vegan option because we like to eat without animals involved. Thank you for this possibility at your house. The tea was special and beautiful to look at! The sandwiches were pretty with different kinds of bread. Our favourite was the chick-pea spread and the one with grilled vegetables. The cucumber-margarine sandwich wasn't completely our taste because my sister doesn't like margarine and I don't like cucumber. But that was no big deal. Now came the scones - the most delicious scones I have ever eaten! I preferred the plain scones, my sister preferred the fruity scones. The coconut cream instead of clotted cream was perfect, frothy and thick! We had barely space left in our stomachs so we sad back and took a break before attempting the last part of the etagère: cakes. We both loved the chocolate cake and also liked the others very much. Only the cupcake one with what looked like two half parts of a biscuit on top wasn't entirely our taste. We would have loved to take some scones away but didn't get the offer. Instead we received a take-away box with the last fruit tartlet and the cupcake that we had left because we didn't like it that much and were already really, really full!
It was a beautiful experience and we are very happy to have booked at your place!
We loved the decoration of the rooms and felt very well treated in the hands of the competent staff. The service was brilliant and kind. The ladies restroom was very pretty and luxurious.
The only thing that disturbed our stay a little were the three young women next to our table who constantly complained (just because the kitchen brought them a wrong etagère). All in all: perfect! Thank you very much.

The vegan afternoon tea was delicious. Our water Joao was delightful. The hotel was beautiful. My only reservation was that initially it seemed like they couldnt find our booking when we arrived, but that was over in a couple of minutes.

We had booked the vegetarian afternoon tea. The athmosphere was really calm and lovely and we were welcomed and seated by a very friendly lady who advices us on the choice of the tea types for sandwiches and cakes. She also advices us to change from black tea to green in the middle and said this would be included in the price. Unfortunately we didn't see her later: the constantly changing waiters and butlers seemed very busy which distracted the experience. We were also charged 10 pounds extra compared to our offer and did not receive the complimentary Victoria and Albert museum tickets promised: this was very inconvenient and tells that information about our booking was not transferred correctly.
