Built in the 18th century, Durham Ox is an inviting rural pub that is full of character, and dog-friendly. Exposed wooden beams inside give a rustic feel, while outside there is an extra bar and plenty of seating. Live music events are also popular draws.

Specialising in trusty, home-cooked British recipes, the Durham Ox menu is made up of time-honoured classics and inventive chef’s specials. The signature beef & ale pie is a creation from much-loved celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, while favourite world flavours include sizzling steak fajitas, or aubergine and roast beetroot curry. Gourmet sandwiches and jacket potatoes are served throughout the day, and guests can round things off with an indulgent crumble, cheesecake or sundae.

The drinks list at the Durham Ox pub features carefully-chosen beers and international wines, and a lengthy list of soft drinks. Younger diners are not forgotten, with a varied menu for both lunch and dinner, and a mini roast served on Sundays.

Part of the acclaimed Old English Inn pub family, Durham Ox Warwick is only 4 minutes' walk from Hatton Rail Station.

The service, location and food were all 10/10. We all commented on the great choices available on the menu and the children's menu I particular was one of the best (choice and value for money) we've seen locally. We will definitely be returning very soon!
    Many Thanks Lou

Meal was enjoyable and suited from a standard menu. Service was acceptable but in view of numbers in restuarant I did not feel we had a personal service having to ask to order and pay the bill by the waitresses.

We had a lovely time at the Ox - staff very helpful and friendly and the garden great for the little ones. Only disappointment was the Sunday lunch was not quite as good as we hoped. The two of us who chose lamb shank found the gravy very greasy and veggies were overdone and mushy (possibly reheated rather than fresh).

The venue is great however the service was extremely slow and the food was average

Lovely meal, a little bit of a long wait sector the bank holiday, but a large discount was given as compensation so all in all a nice day.

Afraid to say this was not a good experience and will not be repeated. We were group of 11 walkers. On arrival we asked where we should leave our muddy boots - being courteous in taking them off. We were told sharply that if they had known we were walkers they would have made arrangements - but online there was no way of telling them this and how did we know anyway? We arrived dead on 12.30 for our booked table. It was almost 2pm before we received our food. When we arrived they weren't even that busy! The soup was luke warm and very small portions. Sandwiches very small and some bread was black. When we complained we were told for such a large number we should have preordered. But how were we to know?We were then given excuses about how kitchen could not cope with so many sandwich and soup orders at once. Also the reason we couldn't get through on the phone was Mother's Day bookings the next day. The poor service, value and quality was all made out to be our fault!! The group have walked regularly every month for the last 17 years and I can honestly say this is the worst lunchtime experience we have ever had - and by far the longest time we have waited for our food. At least they knocked something off our bill which is some bright light I suppose!
