Indulge in pub favourites such as beer-battered fish & chips with peas & tartar sauce, grilled gammon steak topped with fried egg & pineapple, served with chips & peas, and tomato & mozzarella bonbons hand-coated in crispy golden breadcrumbs, served with dressed rocket & garlic mayo. Dunnichen Stone restaurant also serves sharing platters, gourmet burgers, light snacks & decadent desserts, such as jam roly-poly pudding with a jug of hot custard.

With rustic wooden furniture, tartan rugs & leather chairs, it is a country-style retreat with plenty of cosy spots by the fireplace. The Dunnichen Stone bar is well-stocked with a choice of cask ales, wines featuring a selection from the Rothschild wineries, and a large range of spirits & soft drinks.

Unfortunately we left disappointed and made that clear to waitress who tried her best to recover situation with regards to food. More disappointing was the fact that no management offered comment with regards our complaint. We regularly have family meal at dunnchenstone but this experience has now put us off!

waitress was lovely, helpful. i had fish and chips with peas. Fish was good, chips were the usual frozen bagged stuff as were the peas, spend an extra couple o pence and you can buy decent peas. Tartare sauce was tasteless, can you not get chef make it fresh?

we had a very nice meal, couldn't fault the food. The only complaint we had was the length of the wait for our soft drinks before our meal, and our 3 teas after our meal.

The place was really nice, staff were very attentive. However the food wasn't the best, garlic bread and onion rings were great but the meat was not cooked to any standard, we ordered the mixed grill and every piece of meat on the plate was very chewy and not tender at all

Soup very tasty but bowls a bit small for a gentleman and a bit to expensive for the portion size.macaroni was not very hot as the plate was not very hot.
